Meanwhile, in the sprawling desert of Hueco Mundo
"Well done, you two." A slow, almost soft voice broke through the silence of the desert. A few large crystalline trees stood nearby. Akiko bowed, which prompted Juno to do the same.
"Where are we?" Juno asked, her daze still keeping her from realising most of the truth about what was happening.
"This..." Kyuuketsuki said, "Is Hueco Mundo. The only place where you are safe from those which seek to harm you." he finished, just in time for a gigantic snake-like Hollow to burst from the sand, heading towards them. With finesse and strength, Kyuuketsuki disappeared, a resounding 'thud' shook the air, and before they knew it, the Hollow was disappearing, and Kyuuketsuki was back.
"Are you a Shinigami?" Juno asked, noting his white outfit, that looked very much like a Garment of Souls. Kyuuketsuki smiled.
"Yes, Child. I am here to train you. When we're done, you will be stronger and faster than anyone in the world" he said, letting his reiatsu flow gently, stirring the sands around them.
"Show me how much power you have, young one." Kyuuketsuki asked of her. Juno responded by raising her Reiatsu as high as she could. The sand blasted around her, and one of the trees bent over under the strain.
"Enough." Kyuuketsuki said, not even being fazed by the power. "Now I will show you how powerful you will become when I am finished training you." he said, roaring like a lion. What was left of his mask looked nothing more than a scarf that reached up to his chin. As he roared, a crater appeared in the sand around him, sucking the three of them down. Both Juno and Akiko were almost paralysed by the power, sucking them down into the sand.
When she awoke, Juno found herself in darkness. A thin beam of light illuminated where they had came from, but around them, only a dim light - not unlike moonlight - illuminated the area.
Tall crystal trees spread out in every direction, taller than skyscrapers. A Menos Grande appeared from the darkness, and headed towards her.
"This is where your training begins." Kyuuketsuki said, from behind her.

That was it. Galm had, with all of 5 words, roused her anger to a point where she was liable to strike the other Officer. Clenching her fists so tight that her nails bit into the flesh of her palms, Hotaru glared at the other woman. In the silence, they heard a door opening at the end of the hallway. "Crap, they're here. You going or not?" Still in a tizzy, and definitely against her better judgment, Hotaru quickly squeezed behind the column with Galm. Their bodies were closely pressed together in order for them to both remain perfectly hidden behind the pillar, but Hotaru still needed to place her hands on it for balance as well as to give her hands an idle task to preform so she didn't rip the other Officer's head off. They waited like this for a minute, listening to the rythmically increasing breathing of Shinigami walking down the hall. Slowly, the filed in. Galm and Hotaru had been waiting in that uncomfortable proximity for at least 8 minutes before everyone necessary to the meeting was present. "Thank you all for coming...." The Captain Commander continued, and when he finished, Captain Tahoshi spoke up. "I would like to remind everyone that Captain Akiko was killed by Kyuuketsuki. I believe that what we saw last week was not real. If both Juno and Akiko were here, and Rogue... We would all be dead." Hotaru nodded behind the pillar, her lips inevidably taking on a grin. She couldn't help it though! Tahoshi had brought up a great point in Juno's defense. Akiko's Bankai had been one of the most fearsome in the history of Seireitei. That scythe could kill anything. And if you brought Juno's speed into the equation... No one would stand a chance. They were the perfect team. The next voice they heard was that of Kotone Akiyama. "But Sir! with all due respect, She hurt people, and nearly killed Galm! She even stabbed you!" Her voice was loud, easily carrying through the vast chamber. The two Captains continued on, Tahoshi having silenced Kotone to continue on delivering his plan. "We need to kill the fake Akiko." "That's easier said than done!" Yuudai then barked, slamming a hand down on the table. "The cowards went off to Hueco Mundo. How do you propose we get there? And once there... Once there... Tahoshi! There's no way we would stand a chance! Even if we took every able-bodied Shinigami we had, we would be overwhelmed by the number of Hollow. And while we were busy wasting our lives on a lost cause..." he paused to look around the room, to see the reactions he had caused. Half of the room was nodding in agreement while others were livid at his use of the term "lost cause". Hotaru was one of them. Still worked up from her earlier confrontation with Galm, Hotaru was working to suppress the urge to speak up, to voice her opinion. Or hit Yuudai. Whatever happened first. Yuudai then continued "Yes. While we're there, that leaves Seireitei open to an attack. There's no way we'd be able to do it. I say we wait here. They're bound to come back. And when they do... that's when we kill them." ------------------------ Meanwhile.... Juno looked up at the Menos Grande that was slowly advancing at her while she drew her Zanpakutoh. A quick appraisal of the situation and Juno was gone. She reappeared with her feet planted between the massive beast's shoulders, both blades of her Zanpakutoh up to their hilts in the black flesh of the Hollow. It roared loudly as it went into a frenzy, trying to dislodge the Shinigami Captain from it's back. After much unsuccessful bucking and thrashing, it roared once more and reared onto its hind legs before attempting to smash the Shinigami off of its back via one of the many very sharp crystalline trees growing from the ground. It was somewhat of a win-lose move for it. While Juno no longer had her Zanpakutoh in the Hollow's back, the Hollow was now impaled on one of the shorter branches of the tree which soon snapped and crashed to the ground, taking the Hollow with it. An angered swipe and a quick twist later, and the tree was lying in bits on the ground, the Hollow back on its feet. Growling, it scanned the area for the Shinigami, locating her only when she appeared right on his snout. Grinning, she scraped her Zanpakutoh across the bone white mask under her feet. A few seconds slipped by before Juno heard something behind her. Reflexively, she Flash Jumped from her current location, barely managing to avoid a Cero. The bolt of reiatsu caught the Hollow she had been teasing right in the face, blasting off half of the wreath of horns protruding from its skull as well as producing a large crack through its mask. The first Hollow growled loudly and whacked the other Menos Grande, berating the slightly smaller monster for it's wondrous display of stupidity. The Captain reappeared on a branch behind the two Hollow, the lumbering masses of evil turning as quickly as they could to keep her in their feild of vision. They weren't fast enough, though. And in fact, they would never be fast enough for the Shinigami. She was soon balanced between two broken stumps of horn of the first Gillian's mask, Blitzshnell's fangs wedged into the crack that had already formed in the mask. She pressed down with more force, the blades now 100% through the hard bone-like material, chips of mask flaking off as the crack deepened, the split mask falling to the ground soon after. She was soon tending to the matter of the remaining Hollow, speeding from branch to branch as she dodged a haphazard swing from the Hollow. The claws tore through the crystal tree where she had been standing, sending deadly shards of the tree flying out from the point of impact. Juno, however, dropped from the branches of another one of the trees. She quickly fell to the same level as the Hollow's face, their eyes locking. Before Juno fell out of range, she lashed out with both blades, slicing the Hollow's mask into three pieces. One last cry of pain from the Hollow echoed through the trees as it dissapeared. Juno quickly grabbed onto one of the crystal branches to stop her fall, letting go soon after. She landed on another branch, and continued to hop her way down. As she sheathed her Zanpakutoh, she made the final jump out of the tree, landing lightly on the ground next to Kyuuketsuki. Grinning, she pushed her bangs from her eyes and tilted her head to look the white-clad man before her in the face."They were too slow..."

Back at the Seireitei meeting... "They're bound to come back. And when they do... that's when we kill them." Yuudai's words hung heavily throughout the air, no one having a viable alternative. Not letting something petty like that hold him back, Capt. Hremsfeld rose to his feet and began thinking of a way to make the attack stratagem work. "Okay, I'm sorta making this up as I go, so bear with me. If, hypothetically, we were to find a way to open a gate to Hueco Mondo, we could send in...hmm...probably most of us here, with only the strongest seated officers coming along as well, leaving a few of us to guard Seireitei. The strike force would essentially form two units; one for dealing with the various Hollow we're bound to run into, and another for killing Akiko...if need be, Juno too." At the cries of "WHAT?!" that arose, he continued, "Not, of course, that I'm saying killing Juno is our top priority. We don't really know enough about what's going on to make that call yet, and I'd really rather not see her dead unless we're absolutely sure she's a traitor." Kotone, still not entirely convinced, raised the objection that "mass-murder of shinigami and running off to Hueco Mondo is as traitorous as it gets," and pointed out that "she even attacked you!" However, she only got the response of "She has amnesia, remember. If a seated officer can make and use, without an incantation, a spell that makes a hollow obey her, a captain - especially a one created by an arch-hollow - can surely make one that controls a mentally-weakened shinigami." "Alternatively," he continued, "we could just build a series of platforms on poles of differing heights around Seireitei, so no matter where they try to sneak in, we can push them back or even follow them, and work out an exit strategy later." *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* "They're bound to come back. And when they do... that's when we kill them." Though Hotaru agreed with Tahoshi, Galm was less-than-enthusiastic, stating that that wasn't soon enough. "What is your problem, Galm?" demanded the officer from ninth squad; if she wasn't standing behind Galm, the anger in her eyes would be vastly more apparent. "I've only ever seen her smile once, and that was when she almost killed me. I've never seen her talk to any other shinigami unless she needed to, and even then she tried to avoid it. Her relationship with Seireitei wasn't very good to begin with; she probably planned this all along. Hell, she might've faked her amnesia," the mage shot back vehemently, leading to another angry silence. "The strike force would essentially form two units; one for dealing with the various Hollow we're bound to run into, and another for killing Akiko...if need be, Juno too." "WHAT?!" cried out Hotaru, only remaining hidden because several other people in the room started talking loudly, too. "Nice going; you almost gave us away." "But I didn't, so shut up." *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* "Okay, fine. The platform defense won't work, Juno's too fast. You've made your point, Baka-Chan. In any event, I'd like to be one of the people who goes into Hueco Mondo; I'll fight the Hollows so the others can get to Akiko unharmed." Concluded Razgriz, sitting down, Giving the floor to whomever wanted to talk next, namely Captain-Commander Sato. "No, Razgriz. I want you to stay here. You've seen many fights recently, we need that experience here in case Kyuuketsuki tries to attack." "WHAT?" Cried the refutee, outraged. " Why can't I go? That's bull! That's-... probably why I'm not going. Please excuse my shouting." Sitting back down, the leader of third squad was red-faced from more than just anger. I really need to work on that he thought, oblivious to the 11th-squad's VC silently laughing at him. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Even after hearing an amusing discussion about making a ludicrous amount of flattened mushrooms on which to post guards in the event Kyuuketsuki strikes again, the seated officers...standing...behind one of the pillars were still verbally at each other's throats, barely remaining silent enough to listen in. "No, Razgriz. I want you to stay here. You've seen many fights recently, we need that experience here in case Kyuuketsuki tries to attack." "Ha; Galm, apparently your captain 'isn't anything resembling trustworthy,' either." "Shut the hell up, now! Don't make me use Geki on you again!" "Whatever." "Don't think for a second I won't do it again." "Oh, who's the traitor now?" An instant later, Hotaru found herself being flung out from behind the pillar; by the time she'd whirled around, she found she had a person and the fist to which she was attached flying at her. The appendage in question grazed her cheek, barely slowing the assailant. The head that crashed into her gut worked far better. Trying to shake off the blow (and the throbbing headache she now had), Galm got back to her feet just as Hotaru launched her own assault, knocking the duo back down and reducing them to re-enacting the ancient Olympic games, but with clothes on. The impromptu wrestling match didn't last more than two seconds, however, as both participants found themselves restrained, hands behind their backs; Hotaru by one Roxane-Therese Vallier, Galm by her own captain, Tahoshi standing in the middle asking each one if they want to see "what a real punch looks like." Neither responded, both were let go and told to get cleaned up before they explained themselves. Hotaru stormed off towards the door, uncharacteristically flicking one of her long bangs behind her, as if taunting the mage who'd had all her hair singed off and now rather resembled her commanding officer. She had the fiery eyes part down, at least; between the two of them, they could give a certain Mobile Corps Commander's bankai a run for its money. "Galm...HQ...now...You'd better have an explanation waiting," Razgriz ordered, in a seething monotone.

As the two were escorted away from the meeting, tahoshi growled under his breath. He had watched most of these people grow from the Academy upwards.
"Razgriz. I know you want to go too, but you're the most defensive person here." He began, walking alongside him. "Leaving you here to defend is the best approach to this. We need the fastest and strongest people in the strike force, if we are to stand a chance." he finished, stopping. Razgriz stepped on a few times before stopping himself and turning to face him.
Tahoshi raised his Reiatsu enough for him to float at Razgriz' eye level. "If we do go along with the attack... Could I borrow Galm for it? She's the strongest mage here not counting the commander... She'd be a great asset..." He said, already picking his team at least in his mind.
Before Razgriz could reply, Tahoshi was off again. He walked past Razgriz, in deep thought. "Who else would be the best to take..." he said, seemingly ignoring everyone around him as he headed towards his HQ.
----------------------------------------------------
"I don't like the way this is headed." Sato said, mostly to himself. "Juno's capture, a copy of Akiko... It's as if he wants to tear us apart from the inside..."
He stood up, resting on his staff, he slowly walked out into the sunlight. The steps that lead to the top of Soukyouku hill lay in front of him, inviting him to walk to the top. Since there were no executions going on, there was nothing more than a giant wooden arch here. From here, one could watch all of Seireitei.
"There is an uneasy wind here..." he said to himself, as he looked down, watching everyone going about their business as if nothing had happened.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Good! I am impressed." Kyuuketsuki said slowly. "You are already well beyond their strength. I propose a more... Interesting challenge." he continued. Juno looked confused.
"Interesting?" she asked. Kyuuketsuki merely replied with a smile.
"Come! Adjuchas!" he called. His Reiatsu flared up as he shouted, prompting a single, bear-sized man to join them.
"This man is going to be your next test. Defeat him, and I will then teach you how to tap into your inner strength." he said, turning to walk away.
"Kill her." he said to the Hollow.
This Hollow was no ordinary one. He had ascended beyond a Gillian, and had shrunk back down, coming closer to his original height as a human. His mask boasted blue and red stripes across it, with a single horn on the top, similar to that of a Rhino. His biceps snapped into place as he began his attack....

Gliding away, Tahoshi pondered, "Who else would be the best to take..." Resigned to not invading the world of hollows, Razgriz made a suggestion, "Sure, take her, but on the condition that you take Hotaru, too. Being on a mission together like that is probably the best punishment for what they did; after all, they sure seemed eager to know what we were going to do. Once you run into the first wave of Hollows, they'll probably stop bickering, too." Starting to walk away, something else occurred to him. Stopping, he turned back towards Tahoshi and asked a rather important question; "Did you see where Rikka ran off to?" *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* His counterpart not knowing where Rikka was, either, and therefore having just been rather embarrassed again, Razgriz decided it would be best to just head back to his squad's HQ and deal with Galm. Upon his arrival at his meeting area, he found her kneeling on one of the mats. "You know, these chairs are here for a reason," he began while helping himself to one, "but I digress. What the hell was that about back there?" Vague mumbles not being an acceptable answer, the question was expanded upon; "If you wanted to know what the plan from here was, you could've waited until the meeting ended. I would have more to tell, and you wouldn't be in this situation. About the little boxing match we got, I don't even want to know what that was about until later." Regaining the ability to speak, Galm managed to get out "I wanted to see if anyone knew why Juno betrayed us and what we would do," as well as having "wanted to see a meeting," before turning a shade similar to the fire she was feeling in her face. "...That's it? You wanted theories about Juno, something that usually gets played by ear, and to sit - excuse me, stand - through a solid block of yawn? You risked getting demoted and possible even jailed for that?" Turning an even deeper shade of scarlet, the kneeling officer was completely unable to answer. Throughout his whole monologue, Capt. Hremsfeld had remained relatively calm, though the answer he finally got left him gaping at the air like a very-lost fish. "Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. It begs the question: why'd you start fighting Hotaru? Did you wonder if they lied to you in med school about how soft human skin is?" "No!" That, at least, got an answer. "She said-" "-And that's where I cut you off. I'm not getting into anything pitting two people's words against each other. I'll take one war at a time. Which brings me to my next point: your punishment." At first having been a deer-in-headlights, then quite ticked-off, Officer Ingram now seemed rather passive, as if resigning herself to being stuck in Seireitei for the next two years without a mission. "You, of course, know about the potential upcoming mission to Hueco Mondo. I believe Tahoshi knew you were there, wanted to borrow you, and was trying to make sure you knew about it. You also know how I'm not going. In light of your eagerness to attack your fellow shinigami..." Yep, here it comes, Galm thought, "...I am sending you on the mission anyways." Continuing the emotional roller coaster into confusion, Galm stammered briefly before managing to get out "w-w-what?" "You heard me. You're going on the mission. Oh, and by the way: you're going alongside Hotaru." "W-W-WHAT!?!" "I reiterate: You heard me. If Rikka goes too, she outranks you, so she'll probably be directly commanding you. Whatever she tells you to do, you do. Furthermore: Tahoshi is almost definitely going, barring an unforeseen training injury. He's going to be the commanding officer for the expedition, and as such, you will obey whatever he tells you to do, too. He orders you to slap yourself, you leave a red hand-shaped mark. He sends you onto a suicide mission, give your best 'for the fatherland!' and charge. He tells you and Hotaru to kiss and make up, and you damn well better get to first base with your new girlfriend. I'll make sure he knows as much, too. Is that clear?" Stuck once again between confusion and anger, with relief further mucking up the works, Galm managed to squeak out a "yes, sir," the response to which is always a monotone/glare. "I said 'Is that clear.'" "YES, SIR!!" Yay, updates!

"Galm and Hotaru... They're pretty strong..." Tahoshi said to himself, sat in the centre of the training area. Explosions and sounds of metal on metal always filled this area. Lowly Shinigami training furiously to learn the secret to a Shikai, and Officers training equally as furiously to try to get closer to a Bankai. To most, this would be the worst place to sit and think. To Tahoshi, who was used to a Battlefield... This was the perfect peace and quiet.
"I'd better leave Vallier here to look after the squad while I'm gone..." he continued, talking to himself. "That only leaves a few places." he began, looking up towards the sky.
*BOOM* an explosion shook the area immediately around him, sending a cloud of dust into the air. Several cries of "CAPTAIN!" and "are you ok?!?" flooded through the dust cloud. Someone had inadvertently destroyed the rocks that Tahoshi was sat on, creating a nice sized crater beneath him.
"Aki would be a good choice, she's quite sneaky... Maybe she'd be able to stay hidden for a sneak attack if we get caught up in something..." he thought to himself, as the cloud began to clear. He slowly descended to the ground, where several Shinigami had huddled to see if he was hurt.
He stood up, and faced them. "Hmm? Did something happen?" he asked, looking around. The Reapers looked at him, open mouthed. "We just... destroyed the rocks you were on..." one of them managed. Tahoshi spun around, surprised, and looked at the area.
"Oh yeah, so you did." he said, "Not a very big crater though..." he said, looking up the shallow sides.
"be more careful next time you're training, There might be someone else here next time." he said, his Reiatsu flaring up, almost looking like a flame around him.
"And that might lead to something happening to you, like this." he said calmly, slamming his fist down into the ground beneath him. The shallow crater that had been created while he was there deepened several times over, sending all the other shinigami tumbling further down. Tahoshi simply levitated up to the surface, and walked off, looking for the Shinigami that he wanted to take.
Thought i'd add a little comedy to the proceedings... get posting you slackers

Rikka had indeed run off, to the Rukongai in fact. The streets were full of people, doing whatever they were doing. Rikka and her small gang of kids ran through the streets... on some sort of mission. Rikka, of course, was in the front. Her white hair tied back with black a ribbon, her shigami robe, switched out for her black and white thief dress. She had 'skipped' the meeting, like one would a simple class. She disliked going to them, they were all stuffy and were usually to long for her to sit through. She considered them boring and for old people who liked to talk 'logically.' She always felt out of place, so one day she had decided she wasn't going to them anymore. She had never gotten in trouble before.
"Oh!" She gasp, sliding to a stop. "Razgriz... ugh!" She was cut off by one of the kids crashing into her back, knocking them both over. She glanced back at the kid, her face showing she was a little peeved. The kid looked at her, he looked nervous, like he thought he was going to get yelled at. He quickly stood up, muttering a quick "Sorry."
Rikka shook her head as she stood, laughing as she did so. "It was my fault..." She looked at her white out fit, the front now covered with dirt. "Ah! It covered with dirt!" She exclaimed trying her best to wipe it off, in all she just made it worse. She sighed, moving her bangs back into place. "Oh..." She realized that the group of kids were watching her. Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink and she smiled. "Umm... well, I have to back to the Seireitei.... Sorry..."
The little kids looked at her, and almost together in a pouting voice asked if she would stay a little longer. She shook her head and told them she would be back soon. The little kids nodded and ran off to find something else to do. Rikka started to walk back to the Seireitei, she was in no rush to get back... so she didn't bother to flash jump. She walked past an alley and out of the corner of her eye noticed a pair of yellow-green eyes looking her. She jumped slightly, as it had startled her, but then the animal stepped out from the shadows... a large black fur ball... with ears.
She stared at for a second before she realized what it was. "...It's...It's a cat!" She said excitingly. At that point she jumped forward at the cat, trying to pet it, but as cats always do, it ran. Rikka started pursuit, following the cat wherever it happened to run off to. All the while calling after it. "Aww, kitty, I don't want to hurt you... I just want to pet you.... Please..."

All Aki could think was ‘why does this always happen to me?’ as she ran down the streets of the Rukongai from yet another pack of dogs. Deciding on a quick escape she slipped through the crowd, weaving through legs until she reached the blacksmith’s shop. Sneaking inside she made her way slowly and carefully through the shop knowing the man didn’t like dogs. She was about to sneak out of the shop just as the dogs entered and met their worst nightmare. Laughing to herself as she exited the shop into the back alley that she could follow to the main streets.
As she zigzagged through the people Aki put her mind back at the task she had appointed herself with. Being smaller definitely had its advantages, especially when you’re looking for somebody. But then again when you actually know who you’re looking for life itself becomes effortless. Looking back at the overheard conversation between the captains she really didn’t have to do this but after such an eventful meeting Aki really just wanted some fresh air to help her clear her head.
Now what was the vice captain’s name again? Rikka. Yes that was what Captain Razgriz had said but for the life of her Aki couldn’t figure out what kind of irresponsible person would skip a meeting. Aki was having the hardest time painting a picture of this Rikka in her head as she left the dark alley and walked out into the sunny street. As soon as she was out in the light she heard the sudden cry of “It’s a cat!”
Falling for a cat’s curious nature Aki turned to look at the girl who was stunned to see her. The instant Aki looked the girl over she was utterly repulsed. The girl appeared to have on a black and white dress but the front of it what smeared with mud. ‘Definitely not a shinigami.’ Aki thought. ‘Let alone the one I’m looking for.’
As she scanned the girl over she suddenly lunged and Aki took off down the road hoping to shake the girl off. Never failing to make a bad situation worst Aki had run back in the direction she came from, her only thought being the Seireitei and conveniently forgetting the pack of dogs she had out ran earlier that day until she heard the low growls. Not knowing which death she preferred Aki continued running trying to get back to the more crowded streets. Failing miserably to find suitable cover she would have to settle on reaching the rooftops. Rounding the corner to an alley she knew would easily get her there Aki started hopping up crates freezing as the girl jumped ahead of her. Stunned Aki paused and look at the disheveled girl before her. The barks and growls snapped her attention to the dogs that she still had to escape from.
Feeling her feet leave the ground Aki realized the girl had pick her up. The girl smiled sweetly down at Aki as she pull her close to her chest preventing any escape the cat could get without any harm. Then the girl took to the very rooftops Aki had been attempting to reach.

The cat was fast, but Rikka was faster. Using her flash jump she grabbed the cat and landed on the roof away from the dogs. She walked to the back of the building as she started petting the cat.
“Now that’s a good kitty,” she said as the cat began to calm down.
As she ran her hand down over the cat’s head Rikka found a silver chain. She ran it through her fingers looking for identification tags only to find a bell. Rikka sighed.
“Well it looks like you already have a home, but I don’t see a name tag. Hmm…” She thought while she scratched behind the cat’s ears causing it to purr. “I know! I’ll call you Prettiful Princess Fluffykin!”
The cat jumped since Rikka had practically screamed to the heavens her wise decision. ‘Prettiful Princess Fluffykin’ tried to get away scratching at Rikka who held it closer to her chest. Deciding she didn’t want her new friend to get away from her Rikka stopped walking and with one hand took the ribbon from her hair and tired one end to the cat’s collar and the other end to her wrist.
“This is for your own good ya know.” Rikka said as she clung to the squirming ball of fur.
Squeezing ‘Prettiful Princess Fluffykin’ only made her struggle more. Soon seeing a way out the cat took it and chomped down on Rikka’s hand. Rikka gave a yelp and withdrew her wounded appendage and the cat jump up and over her shoulder. As ‘Prettiful Princess Fluffykin’ made her escape she brought Rikka along too, sending her to the ground. Unfortunately on the way down Rikka managed to take a basket of fish and a crate down and into a mud puddle.
‘Prettiful Princess Fluffykin’ tried to run but the ribbon tied to Rikka stopped her. Rikka pushed herself up onto her knees then pulled the fighting fur ball back to her. Picking the cat up and then standing she looked at herself and wonder if she could any dirtier. Sighing as she headed back to the Seireitei to show her new friend to her captain.

Juno easily avoided the Hollow's first attack - a standard, heavy punch aimed at her face. Now some distance back, Juno drew her Zanpakutoh as he charged after her, blocking the second swing of the muscled Hollow's fist. She ducked under another swing and darted to the side, a quick slice half severing the Hollow's arm. The man-sized beast roared and swung where the young Captain had been, striking nothing but air. This happened time and time again, Juno stepping circles around the horned Hollow. Unable to land a blow on the Shinigami, the Hollow was quickly becoming enraged.
To others watching, it seemed almost like Juno was toying with the malevolent creature, her blades striking closer and closer to his mask with each offensive move she made. The beast landed a few glancing blows with clawed fingers, blood seeping from nigh a hundred wounds that Juno had made. One last flash and she was eye to eye with him, flashing him a wicked smirk before slicing his mask in two. The Captain turned to Kyuuketsuki as the Adjuchas disapeared behind her.
"Interesting enough?"

It had been a few hours since the incident during the meeting, yet Hotaru was still furious. She had decided that it was safest for everyone involved in the incident if she secluded herself for a while. The most sensible choice for seclusion was somewhat painful as well. The only spot in all of Seireitei where she could go and people would get the idea to leave her be unless it was very urgent. That spot was on top of one of the tallest buildings. It was also Juno's spot.
"Damn it!" the Seated Officer whispered harshly under her breath. She couldn't calm down no matter how hard she tried. Whenever she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, faces of those who wished her Captain dead kept appearing. These were people she thought she'd always be able to trust. People that she was good friends with as well!
With a heavy sigh, she sat down on the cool roof of the building, slouching back as her slightly extended arms kept her back elevated. Hotaru's half-lidded eyes stared off into the distance, barely registering the fact that the sun was setting. Now only one thought occupied her swirling thoughts....
"How the hell are we going to get out of this one...?"

Ryu walked down the street of the seritei lost in thought. His patrol unit had just returned to Soul Society, and as per his request he had been transfered to one of the 13 guard squads.
Unfortunately, his unit had also been out of contact with Soul Society and he was completely unprepared for what was waiting for him here.
Ryu stopped and looked up at the setting sun, going over everything he had been told. The multiple murders, The death of several captains, one captain going AWOL, and the appearance of this new hollow this.....reaper of reapers. Never before had he heard of a hollow like this one, not even on his long patrols.
Sighing, Ryu began to walk again. He had been assigned the position of seated officer of squad 9, so he decided to introduce himself to the other members of the squad before it got to late. He made his way towords Squad 9 HQ, utilizing his flash steps to make the trip shorter.

Ryu arrived to a rather disorganized Squad HQ. With their Captain whisked off to Hueco Mundo, morale was low. After a few minutes, one of the Shinigami finally noticed the newcomer
"Are you the new transfer, sir?" asked the short blonde. "Sorry for the state of things... As you know... our squad's been having a bout of bad luck lately..." Sighing, she motioned for him to follow. "Your quarters are here. Oh~ And can you do the squad a big favour, please?" She pleaded, clenching her hands in front of her "C-can you fing Hotaru Takahashi for us? She's a Seated Officer for this squad, too. Pleease? Just tell her it's -really- important and about getting Breyer-san back..." She bowed hastily and rushed off, leaving the newest member of The Cursed Squad of Romantic Entanglemet on his own amidst the confusion and sorrow.

Ryu watched the short blond girl walk away and sighed to himself again. Catching another member walking by, he asked for a description of this Hotaru Takahashi to help in his search. Once he had that in hand he headed out to find her.
It didn't really take all that long, mostly because he got lucky. His first impulse was to find the highest point and try to see her from there. Finding it he quickly made his way to the top were he stumbled upon someone matching Hotaru's description.
"Excuse me but are you Hotaru Takahashi." he asked. He walked toward her and offered his hand in greeting. "My name is Ryu Kosuke, the newly assigned SO of your squad. I have a message for you from someone at HQ."

The brunette quickly jolted to her feet and turned in one fluid motion, her eyes now resting upon the man that had come to get her. Her fingers twitched restlessly at her side, and for all of a second she seemed uneasy, but that quickly faded as she grinned, trying her best to not act like a jackass despite her somewhat foul mood. He hadn't had anything to do with that meeting so it wouldn't be fair to him. "That's me." She took a few steps away and bent down, picking up her Zanpakutoh, slinging the strap over her shoulder. "They have a message for me?" I bet it's about the meeting...Shit. I bet I'm going to be taken off duty! she thought as she turned to face Ryu again.

Ryu watched Hotaru for a moment noticing that she seemed agitated. finally he told her the message.
"I was told by a member of our squad to find you because she had something important to tell you, something about getting Breyer-san back"
He quietly watched her reaction to the news.
