As the light cleared from their travels back to Seireitei, the form of the Captain-Commander greeted them, the strongest group of the Shinigami right now, the Seniors.
"Congratulations on defeating the Hollow, young ones." he said to them, though without a smile, for he knew the cost of the battle. Most of the people here would be unable to fight again for a while... some longer than others. He looked down at the floor.
"We have a situation here now. With so many of you incapacitated, we will be unable to make a strike attack on Kyuuketsuki, so from now until we are all ready to fight, i am hereby declaring us On the Defensive." He said to them all, before turning away.
"The Shinigami in the real world now can stay - to hold back the constant tide of Hollow that are trying to feed. Other than that, i am Suspending all Real-World activity until everyone is ready to fight. Get your rest." He finished, before beginning his long walk home.

"I am Suspending all Real-World activity until everyone is ready to fight. Get your rest," the Commander-General stated, plainly, before walking off to his quarters. Sighing in irritation at not being allowed to train and at his freaky fracture, Razgriz noticed something approaching. Someone, rather. In the plural sense. Off in the distance, running towards the group, the Captain and Vice-Captain of Squad Four could be seen, getting closer, closer, bowing to the Commander, and finally arriving at the Senkaimon.
"No more of this 'Don't treat me, I'm fine' business. You're all injured and in need of medical treatment. Apparently, several of you were more adamant than others; our first-response medic here reports that he almost got a conniption from some of you, and mentioned something about...your lack of spare limbs. Squad Four HQ, all of you, now!"
Remarkably, everyone actually did what they were told, and walked/limped/staggered after the two medics. Surprised by this sudden cooperation, the almost-conniptioning member of the healing squad first asked the most difficult people why. Galm simply said she was "too tired to do anything else," and ignored the temper flare. Rikka's response was lost under a bout of swearing when Razgriz dropped his zanpakutoh and put a lot of pressure on something he really shouldn't've. Razgriz himself was slightly more eloquent when prompted; "I know I can't train as I am now. I was doing triage back on Earth; I knew I wasn't going to die, so I wanted attention given to the less-stable. War Never Changes; people are gonna get hurt, so we just need to help those who need it most first."
A brief silence passed.
"Plus, it was fun stringing you along; I thought your head would blow up!"
Another brief silence passed.

Tahoshi smiled weakly, watching Razgriz being slapped about more than any of them had at the hands of the Vasto Lorde. He was the one Shinigami here that let the medic's work their magic on him. Luckily, he was one of the least wounded, as most of his had been covered by his Reiatsu...
"I just need rest" he said to the medic that was assigned to him. The medic agreed, and let him rest on the bed in the Fourth squad HQ, while she started to heal his visible wounds, while numerous, they were in no way life threatening. He was going to be out for a Long time while he recovered.
Yuudai was in much worse shape. The Vasto Lorde's assault on him brought him very close to his death, and was probably going to be out for at least a couple of weeks. There were three medics crowded around him, doing their best to heal his life-threatening wound. There wouldn't be much to help them if Kyuuketsuki decided to attack right now...
Everyone hoped and prayed that they would be left in peace to heal, and prepare for the coming days...
------------------------------------------------------------
"So... Where are they" said a very young-sounding man, or a woman. S/He was quite short, and wore what looked like a Shinigami Captains outfit. S/He wore a sword on his/her back, and shifted slowly through the Shadows. S/He held his/her Reiatsu down at levels that would make him/her appear to be some kind of cat to the untrained, and nothing more than a lowly Rukongai citizen to the trained. This may be enough to draw attention to him/herself, as s/he was slinking through the back-alleys of Seireitei, the Centre of Soul Society, and an area where Rukongai citizens were not allowed.
S/He slowly drew his/her sword, and leapt out of the shadow for long enough to decapitate a wandering Shinigami, staring down at a clipboard as he walked. He never even knew what had hit him. The body was soon disposed of, leaving nothing more than a charred mark on the shiny floor. The only one that had seen the attacker was the re-deceased Shinigami, and all he would've seen was plain, shoulder length hair covering a face.
Stats to come for this being, Check out the 'NPC' section of character creation in the next few days, appearing in the 'slinker' thread

Juno's condition hadn't gotten much better, even after Galm had attended to her while they were still in the land of the living. The only thing that had changed was that now her skull didn't have a lovely four-way fracture. Most of the life-threatening bleeding had been, for the most part, taken care of, other healer Shinigami now on her case as well. They kept saying that she needed rest, that staying awake could only possibly complicate things, but she didn't want to, not when Seireitei was in such a state. Hotaru, however, insisted once again, managing to talk her Captain into getting some rest. Juno hadn't talked much to the healers, so they consulted the man that had gone with the retrieval squad to get the crew back to Seireitei. He told them everything he could remember about the wounds she had received, eventually getting to the mild amnesia. "How long do ya think it'll last?" asked Hotaru, who had been listening in, obviously concerned for Juno's welfare. "We don't know" replied the female Shinigami. "It could be better once she wakes up, or it could take days or weeks to get better. It won't be pretty if it lasts too long, though. Because from what Shirou was telling me..." She motioned to the Shinigami that had treated Juno earlier, "She seems to only have forgotten the events of the past few months.... She thinks she's Vice-Captain again." ************************************** Waiting...... I'm waiting for something to happen, but what? she thought, sitting on the park bench next the lamp post. The light was on, the bright light drawing small bugs like a beacon. Her body wasn't there anymore, the entire area - the sidewalk, bench, lamp post.... everything - was blocked off by yellow police tape. The "Do not Cross" seemed to work both ways. No matter how hard she tried, she could not cross out of the boundary set by the glistening yellow tape. It's been three days.... What's supposed to happen....?She had gotten very lonely. For three days, she had been alone, the most alone she had ever been. No one to talk with... no one to even ignore. She could do nothing but sit there on that bench, waiting for something to happen. The girl then spied a slight disturbance in the shadows outside of the light cast by the lamp beside her, and it frightened her. She knew there was no reason, that whatever it was wouldn't be able to see her, but something was telling her that this was different. Her eyes remained locked on that spot until a human figure entered her field of vision. At first, she thought it was another detective, searching the area for clues, but it became apparent that the figure was just like her when it walked right past the other detectives without causing them to so much as look over their shoulders. She was just like her. She wasn't really there. "Wow..." Came the feminine voice of the figure, having stepped fully into the light. She tucked a lock of her light brown hair back behind an ear before continuing on, "I'm surprised that no Hollows got to you, kid. But I thought there were supposed to be two here...." The last sentence was muttered in a manner akin to thinking aloud. Is this it? Is this what I've been waiting for...?"Well now...." She closed the distance with silent steps, sitting on the bench next to the girl. After a few moments silence, the woman in black stood and faced the girl."We can't drag this out much longer...." She slowly started to unsheath a sword, the silver blade shining in the lamplight. It was then that she once again found her voice. "Who are you... Wh-what are-" "Shh.... I am but a star meant to guide you to a distant realm. But fear not, my angel, your life is not at an end... This is where it all shall begin." Before the girl could discern the meaning of the woman's words, the hilt of the sword was pressed to her forehead. The last thing that she saw before blacking out was a smile from her guiding star..... ***edited for stupid spelling mistakes and flow issues***

the quite recently dubbed Captain Phoenix stood up from his bed... a little too fast, and ended up lying down on it again rather suddenly. After a couple of moments, he got up slower, and began to walk back to his own squads HQ, where he'd be able to rest easier, and get some of the stacks of paperwork done.
As he walked past the beds containing the others, he realised how much better off he'd been after that encounter, and wished good health to all of them. Juno and Yuudai were the only ones still unconcious, so he just wished Yuudai good health, hoping he could still hear.
When he got to Juno's bed, he could hear the higher-ups in squad four talking "She seems to only have forgotten the events of the past few months.... She thinks she's Vice-Captain again." He stopped, and stood by her bed. "You're not a Vice-Captain anymore." he said, knowing she probably wouldn't hear, as she was in a deep-amnesia fueled sleep now.
"Get well soon." he said quietly, before leaving. He was never the best at well-wishing... in fact, he was much better at ill-wishing, especially on himself. "Without Tiamat, I'm almost how i was before..." he muttered to himself, looking down at his clenched fists, still covered with scars from all his previous battles. Every time he'd struck down a Hollow, it had left a mark, as each mask had shattered, and cut his hand.
"Please let there not be another napoleon..." he said to himself, just as he arrived at his HQ, being greeted by cheers from his squadlings, congratulating him on the victory. He couldn't listen to them, as he had failed. But he couldn't admit to it... "I need to be stronger..." he said quietly, but no one heard it.

Kotone and Hotaru stayed by their respective Captain's bedsides until the medic Shinigami started to shoo everyone out, saying that there were places the both of them would me much more useful. Both women made a slight fit about it but eventually relented and just went on their ways. They both went in opposite directions. Hotaru was rather lost on what to do. Her squad was currently in shambles, and with no acting Captain, would most likely remain that way no matter what efforts anyone made. Sighing, she just wandered around, trying to think of something to occupy her time. Then, an idea hit her. With a smirk, she rushed off towards the training grounds ************************************** Once again, Juno's swift feet had won her a meal. But it was becoming harder and harder for the girl to find someone to take her up on a bet. Her name was slowly becoming more easily recognizable, her speed earning her a small sliver of fame just like it had when she was alive. Grinning, she played the part of the good sport and took her winning, walking down the street as she took a bite of the loaf of bread. Every once in a while, she would think about the woman that had brought her here. Juno kind of wanted to see her again, but the first time she did was shaping up to be the last as well. It's no big deal... she thought, but it was. The brunette had made such an impression on Juno that night.... While she was busy pining, Juno neglected to pay attention to where she was walking and (per cliché) walked right into a seated officer that had been sent to the District to deal with some souls that had decided to start causing trouble. Juno fervently apologized and bowed deeply, keeping her eyes on the ground as she turned and started to make her way away. "Hey!" The man called after her, "Wait! I wanna talk with you for a minute!" Hearing the cry, the small redhead stopped and turned back towards the Shinigami. In a few moments, he was at her side, one of his hands on her shoulder. "You're that little fast one I've heard people talking about... Aren't you? Well. I want you to join the academy" ----- I made it through! I can't believe it Juno thought happily as she started making her way towards the HQ of the Squad that she had been assigned to. There were others that had been assigned to the same squad as her, but the only person in the batch that she cared about was the one oman that she could consider a true friend, Hotaru Takahashi. The two couldn't be more different but they were near inseparable since they had met. The two horsed around all the way to the HQ of Squad IX, where one Seated Officer awaited, greeting them with a cheerful smile. Juno recognized her instantly. It was the same Shinigami that had initially sent her to Rukongai. Her shoulder length hair had been tied back in a ponytail. She welcomed each of the fledgling Shinigami, telling them that the Captain would be able to see them soon. It was the same for her and Hotaru, as well, but then the brunette turned and adressed Juno directly. "Well, my little angel. It's nice to see you again." The smile that accompanied this was one of the nicest Juno had ever seen, and as soon as it was aimed in her direction, she could have sworn her heart had skipped a beat.

By this time, Tahoshi was already lying asleep in his bed, regaining his failed strength. Cursing himself several times for not being able to win the battle without using all of his reiatsu - Again - he fell into an uneasy sleep.
-----------------------------------------
"Listen up you lot!" called the voice of a very well built man, standing in front of a squad of swordsmen. Each of them were wearing a blue uniform, that had less than zero chance of giving any kind of camouflage. Even if they were in water. It was That blue.
One man stood near the back had already dropped his sword on the floor, and taken the sheath from his belt, and dropped that with it. The sergeant stepped up and pulled him from the crowd.
"What do you think you're doing soldier! that is your only weapon!" he shouted directly into the young mans face. All the young man could do was smile. "I don't want to use it sir! Swords are clumsy and worthless!" he shouted back, having a bit of fun now.
The Sergeant drew his own sword. "Clumsy eh?" he said, beginning to thrust playfully at the man he'd pulled from the squad. Without any flinching, the young man dodged every single swing of the blade, and even ended up balanced ON the sergeants sword, after impaling it in a nearby tree. The Sergeant laughed, and made for a full on stab, but the young man grabbed the blade between his hands, and stopped it in inch before his face.
"That the best you got?" he asked the sergeant, before pulling the sword from his hands, throwing it to the ground, and proceeding to pummel seven colours of crap out of his Sergeant. It was at this point that the enemy cannon balls began to land. Instinctively, the young man took control of the squad in the sergeants incapacitated state.
"Men!" he called, "We fight here for our country! for everyone that we hold dear." he continued, not pacing at all, but standing in front of them, watching them all. "Do not be afraid, they do not have better weapons than you. they never will!"
He stepped towards them. "Here we stop Napoleon in his tracks, we will finish this war TODAY!" he yelled, turning and charging towards the enemy lines.
-------------------------------------------
Waking with a start, Tahoshi wiped the sweat from his forehead, and fell back to his bed, his heart pumping like he'd been back there, doing it all over again. With every beat of his heart, the red of his eyes pulsated, almost illuminating the room.
"Not again...." he said, as if he'd had the same dream many a time before.

Meanwhile, in the Rukongai, Zero, despite his annoyance at being denied permission to try and help in treating the injured,(Meaning: Forcefully thrown out after a good 15 minutes to half an hour of a stubborn argument.), was rather enjoying himself at the moment. Why? Simple.
"Hah! Royal Flush! Pay up!"
The only blacksmith of the district he was in was a large sucker in gambling, and so far, he had just won his fifth hand in a row, earning him almost enough to get two pairs of trench knives forged. Grinning to himself as he shuffled the deck, he ignored the glare sent his way by the blacksmith. Finally he dealt the cards, before picking up his hand, and looking it over. The blacksmith exchanged two cards from his hand with the deck, while Zero did so with all five cards he held. After drawing his new hand, the blacksmith laughed triumphantly. "Hah!! Four of a Kind!! Read 'em and weep, Shinigami!" Zero just blinked, before setting his hand down, revealing another Royal Flush, resulting in a facefault from the blacksmith. "Dammit! Not again!" Zero just grinned, before putting the cards away. "I beleive that's enough to get two free pairs of Trench Knives, am I right?" Nodding grudgingly, Zero grinned, and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small chunk of a reiatsu-treated ore. "Please, use this to forge them, if you will." Taking the ore, the blacksmith sighed, took the ore, and got up to head into the nearest building to get to work, before looking over his shoulder and speaking to Zero. "Come back in five days. THey'll be ready by then..." Nodding, and giving his thanks, Zero began to leave, a small smile on his face. 'One pair to use just in case I'm ever disarmed or unable to use my Zanpakuto, and another to give to Juno-sama as a get well present...'

Not knowing about the mental trip down memory lane his former captain was taking, nor about that squad's GSO cheating cleaning house at poker for free weapons, or, for that matter, virtually anything that was going on outside his hospital room, Razgriz sighed. "This place is driving me INSANE!!" he shouted, to no one in particular. While his knee was healing up, he had nothing to occupy his thoughts except, well, his thoughts. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Explosions rocked the building; somehow, bombers had gotten past their early warning radar and were now attacking the base. Swearing he'd find out just what the radar operators were doing, Lt. Hremsfeld quickly donned all the parts of his flightsuit and sprinted for his F-16. Jumping into it, and wishing he was high enough in rank to fly the plane of his choice, he donned his headset just in time for the check-in. "-king in," one of his squadmate's voice came over the radio. A brief silence. "Yo, Ruskie! Your radio broken? Check in already!!" Oh, boy; his captain was mad. "Sorry, sir! Mobius 4, checking in." "You certainly took your sweet time. Alright, tower, requesting emergency taxi clearance for Raptor flight of 1 and Falcon flight of 3." "Granted, taxi to runway, switch to frequency 486mhz, and request take-off," responded the tower. As first his captain, then planes two and three went in front of him, sweat was building up on Razgriz's forehead; the bombs were landing closer and closer. At last, he rolled out and went to the runway, for more bureaucracy; "Tower, requesting emergency launch," His captain asked. "Granted, Mobius 1. Full throttle and take-off on your mark." With that, all craft applied full wheel break, turned on afterburner, and waited for the word from their Captain that would send them off... "Mark!"

Whilst everyone was going through their old memories, sleeping, resting, and/or healing, one being in Seireitei was doing the opposite.
She was Killing. Leaping out from the shadows again, she struck another Shinigami, and blasted his remains with Kidou, before returning to the silence of the shadows. As soon as the wind picked up, the charred remains blew away, leaving nothing to tell the tale of the missing soul reaper.
As time went on, she slowly got nearer to the 4th squad headquarters, sensing the low reiatsu of a certain squad Captain...
"I'm home, my angel..." she said softly.

Lying in her bed, head wrapped up, Galm was not an attractive sight. Not that she usually was, but that's irrelevant. "I was using a binding kidou on the arachnid, it worked well, and I had several dozen Cero blasts fired towards me. Somehow they missed. What happened after that? I saw a fist, then suddenly I smelled blood that wasn't mine and went to help the source; Capt. Yuudai. What happened between then, and how long was I out? Obviously I got concussed, and I probably got hit into the wood chipper, unless someone else made that dent. What happened?"
As she struggled with that question, down the hall there was someone struggling with another question, equally important, if not more so. "Do I want Pepperoni Pizza...or Hamburger Helper?"
Further down the hall, there was someone entirely different, thinking about something important, at least to him.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
"Mark!" The four planes tore down the runway, spewing fire behind them, before at last they gained enough speed to bid adieu to the ground and greet the chaos unfolding in the sky.
"Okay, airborne! Stinger; Split high left. See if you can't at least chase back those damned bombers. Sundown; cover his ass!" Mobius 1 barked as soon as the planes had pulled in their landing gear."
"Roger, sir," replied the second and third planes, breaking off.
"New guy, you're with me. Got a nick name yet?"
"No, sir; this is my first non-training flight. Besides, of course, getting over here," responding the fourth Mobius craft. "How 'bout you? How come you're just 'Mobius 1' instead of, say, Cipher?"
"Great...I'm babysittin' nuggets. Now's not the time for small talk, kid; keep your eyes all around you."
"Yes, sir. Plane inbound, sir! He's-"
"Behind us, I know. There's one in front of us, too, coming straight on; on the count of three, break hard left, got it?"
Thinking he knew what the captain was thinking, Lt. Hremsfeld replied in the affirmative.
"Good; one.......two..THREE!"
Briefly caught by the non-uniform counting, Razgriz broke left when, to his surprise, his captain went right. The plane in front, having gone right, was slightly in front of the lieutenant, at an equal speed.
"Huh; I thought we were going to make 'em crash. Ah, well; he ain't getting home," commented the rookie, before loosing a spray of chaingun fire into the enemy craft's belly, turning the plane into a plane-shaped fireball. Trying not to let his excitement get the better of him, he called out the kill over the radio "Mobius 4, splash o-" BOOOOOM! The plane, still going forwards, had collided with one of his comrades. "Erm, make that splash two! Finally, a collision!"
Glancing about, he found that his two squadmates were keeping the bombers from dropping their loads. Figuring they could take care of themselves, he turned back towards his captain.
"Nice job, kid; you didn't even flinch. Most people, if that happens, turn too hard and lose so much speed the plane gets away. That second plane, though, that was just luck. Come do it again."
"Will do, sir. Hey, by the way; there's something strange about these planes; they're American!"
With that, a strange voice came over the radio. "Of course we are, kid; we're the Black Knights! The finest mercenary squadron ever assembled. Our employer happens to not like you 'filthy American pig-dogs,' while completely ignoring our western roots and is paying us handsomely to kill you. All of you. I think I'll go on to you next."
"Good luck, kid. Edge wants you dead. He's the current undisputed Ace of Aces within the Black Knights; allegedly, he's shot down his own retreating squadmates. He challenged you to a duel, too; we can't help you beat him. The good news is, his lackeys can't help, either."
Searching frantically on his radar, Lt. Hremsfeld's only warning was, strangely enough, Edge; "Behind you!" With those words, the warning lights in his cockpit starting going off like crazy. Looking behind him, it was easy to see why. There was a missile coming straight at him, fast...

Juno was suddenly shaken from her sleep when the only thing that filled her dreaming eyes was red.
Desperately, she tried to remember the entirety of the nightmare, but could only keep grasp of a few of the details. All she could remember was a sense of utter panic and helplessness. Slowly, Juno sat up in the bed, wiping a thin layer of cold sweat from her forehead. After five minutes or so, her breathing had calmed to a normal pace so she lay back down and attempted to drift back to sleep.
She had no idea how long she was lying there, but she couldn't shake the images from her dream. A dimly lit room, a figure clad in white with a blood drenched sword...
"Damn...." the Captain muttered as she got off of the bed, heading to the nearest exit from the building. She figured that a walk wight do some good, clear her mind some, and in her slightly addled state, she had neglected to take her Zanpakutoh with her.

Rikka, who probably got more hurt tripping herself, then fighting the hollow, was told to rest. She went and laid on the bed and faked sleeping until she was sure no one was around. Then she quietly got out of bed and started to look for her captains room. Upon finding it she tapped the door lightly and peeked in. She could tell he was sleeping and quietly shut the door and walked over to the chair the was by his bed.
She sat down and watched him for a second, sighed and looked up at the ceiling. A lot had happened that day, and she was quite tired... She removed her Zanpakutoh and pulled her knees to her chest and closed her eyes. She didn't like to sleep, usually her past came back in the form of a nightmare. Dreams made her remember things that she tried hard to forget.
******************************************************** Sitting in the corner of her closet, listening for the sound of her father stomping up the stairs, Rikka pushed her self into a ball. Wishing she could just disappear."Please don't let him find me." She repeatedly whispered to herself. Her heart thundered in her chest, making hard to hear anything else, her breathing came in quick short breaths and she suddenly felt like she wanted to cry... Loud noises from out side her bedroom door made even her thoughts freeze.
Her fathers voice installed instant fear and she whimpered slightly. She heard the door knob squeak and watched it turn. She swallowed hard and held her breath as she looked up into the drunken raged eyes of her father....
He thoughts jump, tiring to find one a bit more kind... She thinks of Kai. He was her first true friend.
"So, your names Rikka and your ten, huh." Asked the weird boy with spiky brown hair. Rikka looked at him, a bit surprised that someone was talking to her and nodded. He smiled, showing that he was missing a few teeth and waiting for new ones to grow in. "My names Kai and I'm eleven... Meaning I'm older then you!" He stuck his tongue out and started to runaway. When Rikka didn't follow, he turned and gave her a weird look. "Arn't you gonna chase me?"
Talking wasn't her strong point and at this point neither was interaction with other people. She wasn't sure how to answer his question and decided just to answer him fast so he would go away. "Uh... Why?" Asked Rikka, confused.
"Cuz... Uh. I don't know..." Answered Kai as he walked back toward her and sat next to her. He looked stumped, why did he want her to chase him... why didn't she? Everyone else usually does, she was not normal.
Again her thoughts jump, this time to a loud clash from outside the room. It reminded her of a gun shot.
"Where will we go? We've lived with them for years." Rikka sighed and waited as Kai picked the lock on the door. A slight click and they were both inside the house.
"We'll go where we want... and live how we chose." Was his quiet reply. She shrugged and started to collect some food stuffs and knocked something over. She picked it up and then Kia was behind her. He pushed he to the ground and frantically pulled her up and ran towards the door. All before she realized that she had woken up the owners of the house and that they were know shooting at them. Another shot got fired, this one nipped her check and went into Kai's head... The images fade behind her eyes and she opens them to see Razgriz's mouth moving and a somewhat concerned look on his face. Her eyes were sore and felt blotchy, like she had just been crying, her cheeks were wet with hot tears. Had she been crying? She sat still and watched her Captain. It took her a moment to hear what he was saying. "...Half to death. I wake up to you screaming to someone to stay away from you and then you fall quiet and start up again." He was quiet for a minute and then continued. "Are you ok, you look like you've been crying."
Rikka tried to answer, but found she couldn't due to the sudden shake of tears that once again started to flow from her eyes. She hid herself behind her knees and tried to stop, but couldn't. She wanted to leave, but couldn't bring herself to move. Even If she had she would have probably tripped and face planted herself in the hall way... and end up in more trouble with the medical squad.

The unknown Shinigami looked down from the rooftops, watching Juno walk slowly through the streets of Seireitei. She wasn't wearing her Captains cloak, nor did she have her zanpakutoh. Leaping across the buildings ahead of her, the unknown Shinigami leant on the edge of a roof, and peered over.
"What's my little Angel doing all the way out here on her own?" she asked, smiling down. Her hair fell further, partially blocking her face, but Juno knew who it was. Her face lit up like a beacon as she watched her jump down.
"Akiko!" she almost shouted, and leapt at her, arms out. Akiko caught her, and let her down gently. "Going for a walk without me?" she asked.

Juno was somewhat spaced out as she walked along the streets, eyes turned towards the twilight sky. She continued on in this manner for what seemed like hours until her eyes were met with the slightly obscured gaze of another and her ears met with the voice of her saviour. "What's my little Angel doing all the way out here on her own?" There was no way for the redhead to suppress her glee, and she latched onto the slightly taller Shinigami nearly as soon as the brunette's feet hit the ground, her joy soon fading. It was quite easy to tell that something was troubling her. "Yeah. I guess..." She murmured somewhat sheepishly. "It's just that I couldn't sleep. I thought that... maybe taking a walk would clear my head." Her grip on Akiko had loosened slightly, and she had her head leaning against her Captain's shoulder. ***************** All was silent at Squad 4 HQ, one of the medic Shinigami making his rounds to check on all the crew that had just returned from a somewhat disastrous real-world expedition. Everyone that he had checked on so far seemed to be doing rather well with their recovering. Next on the list was Captain Breyer. He quietly pushed the door open and took a few steps in before stopping dead in his tracks. "...oh no..." Quickly, he rushed from the room to find his Captain. ***************** A few moments passed in silence before Juno moved her head, tilting it up slightly to look Akiko in the eye. "So why are you out here?" she asked, still trying to shake off the constant feeling of unease that she attributed to the nightmare. She kept remembering different bits at random, and they definitely weren't helping to make her feel any better. So disturbing to her were they that they were managing to counteract the feeling of calmness that she normally derived from being in the presence of her Captain. But she could deal with it, as it had only been a dream.
