Race: human
Theme Song: Darkwave Surfer by Aural Vampire
Physical description: Daiaku is a Japanese-born American with the appearance of a person in their late teens. He is a tall slender figure approximately reaching the 5' 11" mark weighing at 140 lbs. He reflects a very slight hint of pale green/blue color in his eyes and long dark blue hair that is most usually tied behind his head with a sturdy string. On His right arm, he has a rock attached to a string that imitates the color of his eyes. He wears a dark Uniform made from many combinations of strong cloth to move swiftly about as a thief before death.
After Death Description: When not training at the Seireitei, he prefers to stick with his usually clothing as a thief with a few extra accessories. Including the normal combinations of dark cloth/leather, he also wears his right arm bear with a tattoo of a Japanese symbol representing Life. He wears a belt surrounding his waist with small pockets to carry small poisons or antidotes. His short Zanpakutou then attaches itself to his back at a 45 degree angle from left to right.
Personality: Daiaku prefers to think alone in most situations, yet won’t allow his friends to go unguarded. He protects those he feels deserves a chance and those close to him. He lives with his own set of rules and mind that no one can change, yet at the same time, never refusing the opinions of others free will. He does what he thinks is right and won't get involved in any tedious or irrelevant matters. He gets involved only when it benefits himself with a few exceptions. He loves a fight however prefers to use hit-and-run tactics or use ways to fool and confuse the target. He frankly depends on the usage of items to give him advantages in battle when at all possible.
History: Daiaku was born and moved into an orphanage no later then a month after. He was raised with several other young kids and he barely spoke. There were many kids his age and many that were 10 years older. As he grew up, he tended to be the one in trouble who had gotten into things the orphanage didn't approve of and was very reckless in his actions. He wouldn't abide by any rules and in fact detested them. He would most generally decide to do the exact opposite in situations and became very rebellious as he grew older and watched the other kids around him become more and more like robots. He hated the way things had to be run and prefers to do things his way, feeling that all the other children were becoming tainted by rules and weak by living their lives by another's laws.
As he grew older, he did however, attend in most things others his age did, such as school and had many similar interest. He never cared for classes unless he felt he was having fun in the process. He would most generally ignore and refuse to learn anything he felt unnecessary and useless. Although he felt science a bothersome overload, he loved to learn to brew certain materials for the excitement of making new things. He also loved to learn ways to become strong and at the age of 13 he fell in love with martial Arts. He studied martial arts and self-defense for several years after then in hopes of becoming stronger. He preferred to avoid fights except when necessary or when not worth his time yet he never gave up the chance for a good challenge.
After a while he decides to leave the orphanage to find something to make his life worthwhile and sneaks out during the night. After a few days on the run he finds that the orphanage hasn’t sent the police to look for him and laughs when he thinks of his caretakers. Eventually running out of what little food he brought with him he begins using his martial art skills to steal food and pick pocket. Over the next several years he becomes a signature thief with the use of smoke bombs and other home made concoctions.
Then when returning to his hideout after one of his night raids he hears a cry for help and turns to see a little girl running from a group of thugs. Lighting up a smoke bomb as he ran to the girls add and throwing the bomb at the thugs from behind and they caught up with the girl. Jumping in between the girl and thugs and beating them to a pulp. Picking up the injured and scared girl he brought her back to his hideout with him. By the time he reaches his ‘home’ the girl has fallen asleep in his arms. He lays her on his bed and treats and dresses her wounds with his own recipe. The next day the little girl awakes to him looking over her. He makes her breakfast and she tells him that her parents were killed in a car accident and she ran away because she didn’t want to be put in an orphanage and ask if she can stay with him. He agrees and takes care of her as an older brother would.
One day while teaching her to fish she falls into the river and he has to save her again thinking of her as an annoyance. Sitting on the river bed and watching the girl catch her breath he realizes how fragile life is. He begins thinking about what would have happened if to the little girl if he hadn’t saved her and what would of happened to him if he had stayed in the orphanage. At ‘home’ that night the girl gives him a pretty green/blue stone tried to a string as a thank you present and ties it in his hair.
Then not a week later while scouting out the next raid they notice a newspaper with the girls picture on it ask for her safe return to her grandparents. Deciding living with them is better for the girl he takes her to the police station and leaves her there. Soon after he gets the Japanese symbol for “life” tattooed on his right arm as a memento to the girl that taught him how precious it was.
Time pasted by with not much changing and after a year the thugs he beat off the little girl show back up for revenge. During the fight the stone the girl was ripped out of his hair and he becomes distracted. He drives to re-grasp the stone and in the process leaves himself open for attack and ends up killed.
When he awakes in the Rukongai he finds the stone still in his hand and reties it to his right arm over his tattoo. He wanders the towns using his skills to get food and soon gets a reputation as a traveling thief. He hears of the 13 guard squad corps and goes to the academy to try to join them.
