Name: Hirako Tahoshi
Gender: Male
Theme Song: Through fire and Flames (Dragonforce)
Physical Description:
Hirako follows the standards of the Shinigami in dress, he wears the standard black robes, although underneath, he wears black trousers (pants) and a white vest. He has developed his Reiatsu to enable him to walk an inch from the ground, so he doesn't wear shoes, as they inhibit his movement when fighting. His hair is a deep purple, with a black streak down the left hand side. Although he has quite long, just beyond shoulder length hair, he keeps it tied back in a ponytail, to prevent it getting in the way of his fighting. Most question the two patches of baldness at the front of his head. This would be because of the fire-horns he sprouts during Bankai.
His face is easily recognisable, a deep scar across his right cheek, which looks like it once pierced through to the inside of his mouth, but has since healed over. This scar reaches from below his eye, directly down several inches. His eyes are a deep red, displaying the anger that would've turned him into a Hollow if he were still a soul in the physical world. Despite this, he is not an angry man at all, never rising to an insult, or joke about his mum.
personality: Hirako's personality is difficult to pin down, he doesn't speak huge amounts, unless he is with his close friends. He is also very stubborn, and never listens to 'plans', more often than not, he ends up getting hurt by charging in full strength at the first sign of combat. He never tests his opponents strength before fighting, and rarely attempts to sense their combat potential. In this sense, he has a sort of superiority complex, relying on his fists to do the talking, and believing that his are unmatched.
history:
Unlike most Shinigami, Hirako is not Japanese, although he has a Japanese name. He was born and raised in England, during the napoleonic war, reaching the age of an adult at the peak of the war, allowing him to join the fight to save his country. Although he was given a broadsword and standard iron armour, he never used them once in his fights. He believed the weapon would cloud his mind from the clarity he'd need to win, and the armour would weigh him down. All of his life, from the moment he could walk, he was a martial artist, his father was the same, but had long since been unable to join the war, due to an injury he received while working in a mine. Instead, he taught Hirako the way of the dragon, a fighting technique that rendered armour useless.
The war would have ended early if Hirako had lived for a moment longer. He saw a gap in the enemy lines, and made a bee-line for napoleon, only being struck down by the bullet of a musketeer mere feet from ending the life of the french commander. The anger of this failure almost made him a Hollow as soon as he died, but luckily there was a squad of Shinigami at the site, ready to send all the dead to Rukongai at the moment of death. Hirako was caught half-way between soul and Hollow form, the bullet that had killed him created the scar on his face, tearing through the flesh.
In Rukongai, Hirako was one of the lucky ones that made it into one of the better districts, Rukongai district 3. Being a short distance from Seireitei, he was able to see more of the Shinigami, and realised that they were the ones that saved him. Until that is, one rogue Shinigami ran from Seireitei, killing soul after soul un rukongai. He was stopped when he tried to kill Hirako, a single fist tore through the heart of the rogue shinigami, removing him from existence. This act of... stupidity... and power, earned him a right to join the academy, and become a Shinigami.
While in Seireitei, he soon earned a reputation for his strength and skill, taking out Hollow without even using his zanpakutoh, which had taken the form of a broadsword. It was only a few short years before he earned a position as a seated officer, and a mere hundred years before he had become a Captain. Unfortunately, he gained his position as Captain through different means to the norm. In a Mission within Seireitei, attempting to end the research of the 12th squad's Vizard movement, he spoke to Ryuujin Tiamat for the first time, and unlocked his Shikai. He used this power to survive the battle, but he was one of few left. Being one of the more powerful, and more promising members of the squad remaining, he was rushed into Bankai training, to take up the seat of Captain of the Secret Mobile Corps.

Zanpakutoh name: Ryuujin Tiamat (Dragon-God Tiamat)
Description: In its natural form, Tiamat is a plain Broadsword, a simple european weapon with a short, double edged blade, with a point. The hilt has a short length of red ribbon attached to it, that always wraps itself around Hirako's wrist when he uses it. This weapon has the disadvantage that he must release at least his shikai to have any combat potential, as he never had any real training with a sword, and relies almost exclusively on his fists, and a small amount of kidou if necessary.
Shikai: Release-phrase: Come forth, Tiamat
Upon speaking the release phrase, the metal of the broadsword appears to melt, soaking itself over Hirako's hand, steaming as if they burn his skin. They begin spreading to his other hand almost instantly as the sword is completely melted. On solidifying, they wrap themselves over his knuckles, almost sinking into his skin until they form a pair of simple looking Knuckledusters, with blades on top, that look like punching daggers. upon closer inspection, the metal has soaked through his body, and created several blades on his feet as well. If he was wearing shoes, they wouldn't be there anymore.
In this form, he can use his fighting style easier, the knuckledusters acting just like his fists, not getting in the way as a sword would. Innate powers in this weapon are simple. On command from his reflexes, the blades extend several inches, giving him extra range, and greater penetration potential. He has one single defensive move, and that is to create a shield of fire around himself, almost turning him into a giant fireball. This has the added effect that it can burn anyone that is too close.
Bankai: Release phrase: Sear the land, Scorch the sky.
This is a most impressive fire-type Zanpakutoh. During, and after saying the release phrase, flames burst out from Hirako's back, forming huge wings, two more bursts of flame erupt from his head, taking the form of horns, more flame erupts from behind him, creating a tail, and the scattering of the ashes collect on his hands, forming claws made of Lava. These claws move and flex with Hirako's thoughts, including stretching out to several metres, giving him an excellent range. Being a Fire-Dragon, Tiamat also offers Hirako his fire-breath ability, showing itself in the form of fireballs that appear to fire themselves from his mouth. While not so powerful, the fact that he doesn't have to use any chant to fire them is a great advantage in a tight spot.
This form uses the flame wings as a shield, allowing him to close them around himself to make a shield, while not an amazing shield, it can offer enough protection to give him space to move, and make a counter-attack. He has only one named attack in any of his weapon forms, they mainly just add to his strength, and offer some protection.
Named attack: Skewer
Tahoshi's claws extend beyond their normal range, almost as far as he wants them to. While extended, they are weaker, but they also become serrated, causing tremendous damage to anything they hit. If hit while extended, the chances are greater that it will shatter, ending his Bankai. Therefore, this attack is rarely used, only when it is sure to be a surprise attack which the enemy cannot react to.
