(Hehe... I've done some looking, and I decided to make a non-shinigami character, to try and break a trend.)
Name: Yoshitsuna, Kisuke
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Theme Song: "Innocent Sorrow" by Abingdon Boys School
Physical Description: Standing at 5'7", Kisuke makes for niether a menacing or laughable figure. His thin frame is often misleading in terms of strength, as he is capable of surprising feats of strength. Midnight black hair that spikes backwards somewhat, and a long bang hanging in front of his forehead adorns his head, and he has charcoal black eyes that seldom reveal what he's feeling. His outfit consists of a pale blue sleeveless shirt that hangs somewhat loosely off him, and black, somewhat-loose fitting pants. Around his neck, a tattered blue scarf is worn, and he usually carries his blade over his shoulder. His normal choice in footwear is either sneakers, or tabi.
History: Kisuke was an average boy that hailed from an old-fashioned village, where he worked for a local kendo dojo. He was almost always cheerful back then, and viewed the master of the dojo as a father figure. Life was peaceful for the boy, until the day of his fifteenth birthday, where he started to see people who weren't exactly there, and strange creatures that could not be identified. This continued for several months before he confronted the dojo master about it, only for it to be brushed aside as his imagination wandering.
Deciding to just ignore his new ability, Kisuke tried to continue living a somewhat normal life. Keyword being 'Tried'. The peace came to an abrupt halt when one of the strange creatures took possession of the dojo master's body, and began to kill off everyone in the village. Kisuke attempted to stop it, but was soundly trounced. Managing to barely escape with his life, the young teen left his village to be destroyed, vowing to return once he was strong enough to slay the possessed dojo master. After days of wandering, he came across a shrine, in which a strange mask and scroll laid. The scroll contained information on an ancient style of swordsmanship, known as the "Oboro Ryu". The mask, however, contained the spirit of a near-ancient blacksmith: "Muramasa Seijirou", who promised the teen unrivaled blades, in exchange for souls to fuel his eternal forge. An agreement was struck, and the boy was granted the promised blades.
He trained at the shrine, and in it's surrounding area for 2 years, gathering the souls of the wildlife to temporarily appease the sword smith's spirit, until he finally felt he was proficient enough in the Oboro Ryu to return to his home village. Taking the mask with him, and the three blades that had been forged and refined over the two years, Kisuke arrived at the remains of the village, where he faced off against the possessed master. The battle lasted for quite a while, and more than once it seemed that the teen would lose, but in the end, he emerged victorious, and took the soul possessing the master's body to fuel the forge, it's spite making the flames burn brighter than ever.
Kisuke now wanders around, taking odd jobs to survive, and seeking a purpose in life. He still collects souls, regardless of them being Shinigami, Hollow, or Neutral, to fuel Muramasa's forge, strengthen his blades, and increase his collection of swords, which can conveniently be carried in a seal on the mask.
Skills:
Melee (Sword) 40
Kidou 35
Shunpo 30
Reiatsu 40
Block 25
Sense Reiatsu 20
Hide Reiatsu 10
(Since I couldn't come up with a Shikai-like ability, I'm gonna' class myself as an Always-Shikai type.)
Special: Kisuke only carries three swords at one time, and is capable of switching between them with a great amount of speed. If one breaks by some chance, he can return it to it's sheath, and allow it to absorb reiatsu and/or blood, which will gradually repair it to it's original state. Due to the influence of the Muramasa Swords, Kisuke has a far above average recovery rate, and can heal somewhat in the same manner as his swords.
-----Kisuke's Learned Oboro Ryu Techniques-----
Oboro Ryu: Ranmyaku Gyakuten
[Haze Style: Chaos Reversal]
-The user adopts a special stance, in which they are able to absorb the energy from attacks that hit or graze, until a 'cap' is hit. the user runs out of energy. or the user releases the built-up power, and the accumulated power is released in a single wave(Size varies somewhat depending on amount of power built up). (Does NOT negate damage, and ends when triggered or the user is knocked out/killed)
Oboro Ryu: Tsubame-ontei
[Haze Style: Swallow Step]
-Essentially, the same as other high-speed movement techniques. Able to be executed in mid-air.
Oboro Ryu: Reppu Shouheki
[Haze Style: Gale Barrier]
-The user gathers energy around their sword, partially distort visibility around it while increasing it's range slightly, allowing for an easier time to get past the target's guard. This technique can be maintained as long as the user has energy.
Oboro Ryu Ougi: Susanoo no Tsurugi
[Haze Style Secret Art: Blade of the Raging War God]
-Requires the user to be injured. The user infuses blood with a great deal of energy, temporarily crystalizing it, and forming it into a blade. It only lasts one use, however, it is capable of dealing a moderate amount of damage. If it pierces/cuts the target, however, the damage is lessened, and instead, gives a poisoning effect to the target.
(Kisuke has yet to learn the entire collection of Oboro Ryu techniques. I figured I'd only grant him a small few to start off with. If there are any problems with these techniques, let me know, and I'll start reworking them.)
