"Right. Officially, we're here for 'wood chipper acquisition.' I was kinda hoping to tangle with Kyuuketsuki, but if he/she/it isn't around, then we have a lot more people than we need," the swordsman started. "Okay, here's the plan: we find a place likely to have a chipper, preferably one of the 1,000 horsepower ones. We should probably check in a close-by rural area, if there is one. If a house is being built, they'll be clearing trees, and will probably have a chipper there. We then test its effectiveness on one of those low-level Hollows, and finally we find a way to bring it back.

Yuudai sighed quietly. "So, you want to try and shred a Hollow?" he asked, before thinking about it for a second. Before wating for a reply, he spoke again.
"Sounds like fun." he said plainly. "do you know where to get one? or were you planning on splitting up and searching?"
The darkness around them got worse as the sun set. In the distance, a pair of Red eyes glowed for a second in the darkness, before vanishing. This newcomer had a Sense-able reiatsu, but it was quite low due to his attempts to hide it.
Yuudai sensed it, but dismissed it without saying anything, as its owner was reported dead. He watched the others, to see if they were showing any reaction to it as well.

"A-a woodchipper sir?" Rikka asked a bit bewillderd. She sighed and and nodded, not really wanting to question her new captain; but for some reason, she had a feeling they were going to get along. The crazy ideas prehaphs. Anyway, she nodded and looked at Razgriz. "Under you command sir, I would like to start to look for your woodchipper. I'll go east from here and see what I find." He nodded and she started to walk away from them. She haddn't gone far before one of the smaller hallows stepped in her way. She looked at it and guessed she could show her captain some of her skill. She drew her zanpakutoh.
She eyed the hallow and in a second apearred behind it. This time, when she brought down her sword, she didn't mess up. It slid through the back of thew hollows mask as if it were butter, the hallow started to fade as soon as she removed her zanpakutoh. She glanced back at her captain and Yuddi and continued on her way. The beast in the shadows hadn't seen much, but determined she was fast, and most likely very weak.
Rikka's flash step made searching for the woodchipper that much easier. She jumpped from house to house looking in the back yard, Razgriz had said he wanted a fairly large one. After looking, for what was probaly about fifteen minutes, she spotted what looked to be a woodchipper of decent size. She jumped into a tree the was next to it, and walked out onto the branch that was over it. She wasn't sure way she had, nobody could see her anyway; maybe out of habit was she sneaking.
When she was about to jump to the ground, she heard a loud cracking sound and found herself falling toward the opening of the wood chipper. She cought herself, before she fell in it, and was relived that it wasn't on; untill the branch that had fallen hit the lever. He face was only a few inches away from the sping blades and she tightly closed her eyes; but the woodchipper was the least of her worries, for loaming behind her was a hollow.
It let out a laugh as it saw her, holding herself up over the now operating woodchipper and stepped closer. Rikka opened her eyes at the sound, and tried to move. She found that she really couldn't without falling into the chipper and so she waited. "You know, for a thief, I'm not very lucky... " She sighed and guessed she sould call for help. "Razgriz," she yelled into the mobile phone . "Your idea is very bad... and scary! I could use your help, not only is a hollow about to eat me... but so is your woodchipper!"
Edit. Accadentally sent it before I was done.

As the group went off in their respective directions to find the machinery in question, Squad Three's captain got a call on his mobile; it was Rikka. "Razgriz," she yelled into the mobile phone . "Your idea is very bad... and scary! I could use your help, not only is a hollow about to eat me... but so is your woodchipper!"
"Okay; that's bad. Where are you?" Running in her general direction, Razgriz didn't need to hear the answer, as he could hear the wood chipper. "Wow!" the captain said over the mobile link. "You found a big one! That thing could probably rip through a hundred-foot tree in about ten seconds!"
A whimpering sound came out of the phone.
"...That didn't help, did it." deadpanned the rushing Russian. "I'll be there in...now." Hanging up, he unsheathed his zanpakutoh just as the Reptillian Hollow was about to take more than a nibble out of the aforementioned shinigami's vice-captain. Though it was only an eight-foot-tall Hollow, size is irrelevant when you're between sharp teeth and...sharp teeth, especially when it's eight feet of lizard-skin armor.
Leaping through the air, Razgriz landed near the chipper's feeding end just in time to knock one set of those sharp teeth out of the way of the very tasty people, causing the attached Hollow to roll a ways away. Sheathing his zanpakutoh, Capt. Hremsfeld lifted his VC away from the teeth of death. However, the Hollow was now coming back for more.
There wasn't much time; "Unsheath! Now! Zanpakutoh in front!" the captain shouted. As his vice-captain, still being held in the air, did so, she suddenly thought she was going forwards.
Oh; she was. She had just been thrown like a javelin straight at an erratically charging Hollow. She was moving quite rapidly, too, and if she didn't hit said Hollow, she would likely end up across the street, smeared in mud. This motivation was useful; her zanpakutoh went into its midsection, and, as the Hollow was moving sideways, the beast was cleft in twain.
At that moment, several of the others showed up in response to the distress call, and wasted no time in lifting up the Hollow fragments and disposing of them in the still active woodchipper. Trying to tear apart the lizard Hollow's thick, tough skin, the chipper started making a horrible grating/squishing noise. In addition, the rapidly-becoming-meatloaf Hollow was screaming loud enough to wake the living. The machine seemed like it was going to break. Fortunately, it didn't, and the Hollow was by now quite dead.
"Well, that was fun. Not dead? Uninjured?" Galm queried the recent projectile. Both being "yes," she moved on. Of course, the brevity of her questions, and the casual manner with which they were asked caused Yuudai to briefly sputter with mild rage, remembering her rants. However, Galm wasn't done.
"Throwing her, Razgriz? What if you missed? What if the Hollow had caught her in mid-air? It's very hard to explain to the Captain-Commander that you threw a sub-ordinate into the waiting maw of a Hollow! What were you thinking?!"
"Simple," the Captain started. "There was no time to do anything. The Hollow was charging, and my weapon was sheathed. In addition, both my hands were in use preventing Rikka from being pate, etc. The only other thing I could've done would be toss Rikka aside and lunge at the Hollow myself. Alternate scenarios aside, it worked, which is the most important part."
Pausing momentarily, the captain continued, "The Hollow is gone, we know the chipper works, we know that reptillian Hollows don't chip well, and a new combat move has been invented. We're technically at war with Hollowkind, and have been for the past hundred thousand years or so. Wars aren't won by being timid; they're won by taking risks like laying it all on the line. If I had missed, Rikka would most likely be fine, albeit dirty and scratched up." Briefly changing topics, Razgriz said "Of course, I'm glad you're okay, Rikka." Going back to the argument, he continued, "However, I was off-balance. I would've been trying to get back up as the Hollow reached me. Even if I'd tried to unsheath and defend myself, the Hollow could've simply knocked me down into the chipper. I couldn't have blocked it; I put a lot of reiatsu into the throw. When Rikka tore through the Hollow, she slowed down enough to land comfortably on her feet. She's fine, Hollow's dead, end of story."
Now it was awkward; everyone had since shown up and witnessed the entire shouting match. In addition, several other people had shown up, roused by the screams and 1,000 horsepower chipper. There were some memories to wipe...

"Hmmm, Interesting..." Said the Hollow from the Shadows. The humans in the area were looking almost as tasty as the Shinigami that were here. Edging away from the Shadows, into the street-lights, the Arachnid Hollow made its presence known.
"That was fun, wasn't it?" she asked. This Hollow was female in most of her appearance. The lower half was a mix between a spider and an octopus. She had a large abdomen, with eight bone-less legs holding her up. her upper half also had a pair of arms, which were bristled with sharp claws. Her head was covered by a mask, apart from her long hair, which flowed out of the top.
"I've got a feeling I'm going to enjoy this." she stated before making her attack. The commotion from the wood chipper, and everyone busy erasing memories of the humans, no one noticed the Hollow until she raised her Reiatsu to normal levels, making everyones mobile go off loudly.
"Too slow!" she called, Flash-stepping to the centre of the group of Shinigami. She hovered on her Reiatsu as her legs all flew out towards every one of the Shinigami, aiming to grapple them all. As the tentacles flew threw the air, she called out.
"Come, Gillians!" The air above them began to tear open...
Statistics for this Hollow will appear in the NPC thread soon

"Come, Gillians!" Cried the Arachnid Hollow, descending out of nowhere. The sky tore open, and dozens upon dozens of Gillian-class Menos flew out. At the same moment, the creature's eight tentacles flew towards the group, seeking to hold them down. No one wishing to die like that, the group split.
Galm observed her captain and Yuudai were fighting back-to-back, taking on the majority of the Menos at once, Shikai released. She observed Capt. Breyer, who was occupying herself by flash-stepping around the Arachnid, occasionally tasering it with her Shikai-stage zanpakutoh. She observed her seated officer following suit. She also observed Rikka alternating between distracting the remaining three Menos and distracting the Arachnid with her flowers of death. Deciding that would work best, Galm started doing something similar, blasting anything that got too close too close to anyone. Still, through this all, they were just barely holding their ground. Something needed to give; someone needed to help them.
Who better to help than someone who was trying to kill them? Well, most people, but if they could be made to not try to kill them...
It would have to work. She hadn't even tested these Kidou yet, but it was either now or never. Unclipping her dagger from her robes, she spake, "Help me help them...Artzkrieger!" As she did, her dagger stretched itself out, flowing over itself until its oblong ten inches turned into a cylindrical six feet, with a flawless sapphire on the end. A Menos was running at her, but it didn't matter; the world had slowed, giving Galm plenty of time to focus on the words she was about to say and concentrate the power needed to give them meaning.
Staring straight into the eyes of the Hollow, she unleashed that built-up strength. "Look upon thy master with disdain, you wretch! Turn against him and be thy own ruler!" As she did that, her sapphire glowed a deep blue, matching her eyes. The Hollow seemed to stumble over its three feet, and crashed to the ground, screaming. It soon silenced itself, got back up, and started charging at its former master, the Arachnid.
"That's one," Galm said, slightly tired. "How can the others stand after using so much power?" As if to emphasize her point, one of the Menos Yuudai was fighting was launched into the air by a very painful hammer blow, only to have its mask cleaved open by a very painful sickle slice.
"Well, if they can, then so can I." Pointing her finger at the Arachnid, she said "Byakurai." A bolt of lightning shot out, catching it a badly bleeding tentacle. Enraged, the Hollow briefly looked away from its insubordinate subordinate and looked at the offending mage. She saw a brightly glowing sapphire; a clear indication that the Arachnid was about to be on the business end of a non-too-enjoyable kidou.
"Those you have smote return with vengeance! Feel terror as you become the victim of your victims!" At this, to the Hollow at least, the amount of chaos seemed to triple. A familiar-looking androgynous shinigami, vice-captain rank, rushed her; a tentacle smashed into its face. The guy/girl disappeared in a cloud of smoke, which another familiar face ran through, landing a blow. As that blast from the past ended, an old man ran with unnatural speed, delivering a crushing scissor kick. The Tentacle in worse shape than even the lightning had caused, the Arachnid realized why she was having deja vu, why regular humans could see/hit her, why there were three captains from squad two present, and why only one of them had a hammer. "You- you're all dead! I killed you! All of you!" the Arachnid screeched, none too fond of this karmic backlash. To most of the search-and-retrieve squad, the Hollow seemed to be going insane; it was screaming and developing inexplicable injuries. To the Menos slaves, their master seemed to be in pain; those shinigami needed to be crushed like the vermin they were. To Galm, however, the kidou seemed to work even better than anticipated; now she was fighting in a battle. A winnable battle.
"Haien..."

inside the mind of the Arachnid, a battle fought between its own Kidou powers, and that of Galm. Being a more combat oriented Hollow, the Shinigami mage was winning.
"Gillian! Use Cero!" she called, prompting every Gillian in the Area to launch a Cero blast. Distracting all of them enough to regain posture, the mages Kidou had been broken. Back into fighting form, the Arachnid realised the threat this mage posed, and launched all remaining Tentacles at her, in an attack fueled by distraction. Try as she might, Galm could not defend it.
"Aaaaaaahhh!" she screamed as the Hollow slammed into her, sending her flying to the side of the road, crashing into the Wood-Chipper. A large dent appeared in it, and the mage fell into unconciousness from the blow. The Arachnid laughed, and re-joined the battle, using her many tentacles to fight on even odds with the Shinigami.
Meanwhile, in the battle with the Gillians, sheer overwhelming numbers were beginning to get to the two Captains. As soon as they vanquished two of the beasts, another three would appear from Hueco Mundo to take their place. Their Reiatsu levels were slowly falling.
"Razgriz, Do it!" Yuudai called, jumping away from the mass of Gillian for long enough...
The two captains raised their Zanpakutoh's above their head, and yelled simultaneously
"Chivalry and Bushido: Become as One!" "Thor! Lend me your might!"
"BANKAI!"
The huge form of Thor appeared slowly behind Yuudai, as heavy armour appeared all over Razgriz. As soon as they were done, they both leapt back into battle. Shockwave after hammer blow, and sickle slice followed by an armour-fueled headbutt tore into the ranks of the Gillian. No matter how many Cero blasts they fired, all the Arachnid could do was defend herself against the other Shinigami, and watch as her army was quickly decimated. Not often was there a fight like this in the Real World, but this was war.
Just after the Last Gillian was destroyed, and all that was left was the Arachnid, something both unexpected, terrifying and altogether deadly happened... Another rift in the sky... But no Gillian fell from it, but a single, human sized being. Obviously a Hollow, because of the mask that covered its face, Horns reaching towards the sky, and claws over his hands to rival Wolverine.
Yuudai recognised this enemy instantly, his eyes opened wide, and all his remaining power was thrust into a single attack, the Huge hammer of Thor swung down towards it, followed by the shockwave. With nothing more than a shout, the shockwave was dissipated, and a raised hand stopped the hammer in its tracks.
Smiling wickedly, the Vasto Lorde leapt through the Arachnid, tearing it in half in one move, sucking its essence into itself. "You've failed to take out a few Shinigami... your time is over." it spoke, before turning its attention back to the stunned Shinigami.
"You might as well let me kill you, for all the difference it will make by fighting." it said again. This one shared the androgynous nature of Galm, both looking like a man and a woman at the same time. The physique was that of a man, but the voice, and movement was definitely that of a woman. Yuudai was already out of Reiatsu, and the others were probably at least a little low.
From the Shadows, the red eyes from earlier surveyed the scene. No longer needing to hide his Reiatsu, for the stronger power of the Hollow blanketed the area with power... How would they fare against the most powerful level of hollow ever found?...

Beneath his helm, Razgriz let out a long sigh. This was originally supposed to be a simple get-in-and-get-out mission, before everything went straight to Hell. Now he had minimal reiatsu, several minor wounds, an unconcious seated officer (who happened to be the best healer present), and, to top it all off, a Vasto Lorde had just appeared. He, or was it she, was too small for everyone to launch a combined assualt against; they'd just get in each other's way or surround it like in a Chinese martial-arts movie and wait their turn.
"Rikka! Raigen! I know it isn't your specialty, but right now concentrate on healing Galm! We'll need her range. Three tired people fighting are more effective than two tired people guarding a third unconscious lump." the captain barked, causing the two to flash-step to their squadmate's side and get to work. "Try to stay safe. Effectively, while you're patching her up, you are your own mini-squad, so you'll be in charge, Rikka. You won't be able to talk very well while fighting, so make a plan before charging in. Oh, and one of you: call for a limit release!"
The two began to work, though their fatigue was apparent. If the squads could just last until they had full access to their powers...

As the two got to work with trying to heal Galm, the Vasto Lorde wasted no time in launching its assault. The huge form of Thor behind Yuudai was a little intimidating, and drew the attention of the Hollow.
Unfortunately for yuudai, the Hollow was both stronger and faster than he was, and didn't get much time to defend himself, as a clawed arm broke through his stomach, spraying blood both directions. As he fell, the Hollow grinned evilly, watching Thor vanish into a cloud of smoke. Yuudai lay in a pool of his own blood, coughing and spluttering, but still alive.
From the Shadows, the red-eyed being decided now would be his time to join the festivities.
"Sear the Land, Scorch the Sky! BANKAI!" he yelled over the top of the battle, everyone heard it, although not all would have believed it straight away. Luckily though, it was true. Almost a reverse of his moment of Vanishing, Tahoshi flew up the road as fast as his wings would carry him.
Throwing Reiatsu into both his fists and speed, he hit the Hollow before he even got a chance to see what happened. Copious amounts of Hollow blood mixed with Yuudai's on the floor, but before he could make a counter-attack, Tahoshi spun around in the air, and launched a fireball at him. The Hollow flash-jumped just in time to only get his feet singed, as the fireball flew down the road, and crashed into a car parked next to a corner shop.
"Hope you didn't miss me too much." Tahoshi said to Razgriz as he flexed his wings, sending a pillar of flame into the air. Finally, the Shinigami were on the side that stood a chance of winning. A fresh combatant joining the fray, with the rest of the good guys on the verge of collapse from exhaustion.

Blood has strange effects on people. Some people pass out. Others simply freeze up, unable to move, usually causing them to fall over, bump their head, and pass out. Some people it instills fear into. Others, it simply doesn't effect. However, there is a rare type of person that, at the scent of blood, spring into action and do whatever it is they do. Galm was one such person; very shortly after Capt. Yuudai very nearly got castrated, her eyes flew open, she ran to his side, and she began trying to patch him up despite the others in her squad still trying to patch her up. "Told you you'd get hurt," she deadpanned, never missing the opportunity.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
"Holy shit! Tahoshi! You're not dead!" Observed Captain Obvious Razgriz. "Well, you're certainly welcome to stay...Think you can keep up?"
Allowing himself some friendly fighting banter, the phoenix responded, "Maybe I'll be so far ahead you won't be able to see me."
"Heh; let's find out. We've still got powerful four people in this fight who aren't in the process of healing. Let's do this!"

Tahoshi looked at the Vasto Lorde for a moment, his fists raised, and the Lava claws flowing over his hands retracted slightly.
"So You're the strongest form of Hollow?" He asked, allowing himself a slight smile. "I expected more." he added, before leaping at the Hollow, his fists blurred as they moved, but the Vasto Lorde appeared to stand still, Tahoshi's claws firing either side of its head, as if he was deliberately missing.
"Dammit!" he yelled, leaping back. He took a deep breath, and launched another Fireball at it, but instead of dodging this time, the Vasto Lorde simply raised his hand, and halted the fireball in its tracks, dissipating it into its component parts - Spirit power.
"That wasn't very impressive for a Captain..." it replied, not even flexing as it disappeared, and reappeared in front of Tahoshi. It's own claws blurred, but instead of dodging every attack, the Phoenix's wings folded down in front of him, and formed a sort of fireball out of himself. Eventually, the wings were forced open, and struck at the Shinigami inside them, sending him flying backwards, skidding along the floor as if he'd been pushed while wearing skates.
"Come on! We need that Limit release NOW!" he yelled at the Shinigami on the sidelines, still blinking in disbelief at the activity of Galm.

At that moment, Rikka got the ok for there limit release and yelled. "Your all set!" to the brawlers. She then just noticed that Tahoshi was back... rerisen from the dead. When did he get back? She thought to herself. Lucky for us he came here when he did. She found that she was rather tired, it had been a rather long day for her... between water and a wood chipper she had used up most of her energy. She wasn't going to be much help to the captain and wandered over to stand by Glam, just in case she needed some sort of help.

(I rise from the dead! Lol. :3)
Juno instantly took note of Tahoshi's arrival, but didn't let it distract her, instead opting for a short period of rest while the three other Captains present rushed the Hollow. There was no way that all four of them could safely go at the thing at once, especially under the limiter. But once the limit release was okayed she'd be able to move fast enough to confuse the Hollow and hopefully allow Yuudai, Tahoshi, and Hremzfeld land some clean blows. For the meantime, she stayed back, hurling the two blades of Blitzshnell at the back of the Hollow's head the instant it sent Tahoshi flying backwards. One crashed into the ground at it's feet, sending a spray of smoke and debris into the air; while the other smacked it in the back of the head, effectively drawing it's attention to the small Shinigami behind it.
This, of course, was definitely not a good thing, as the rather bleeding-from-the-back-of-the-head-now Hollow charged the reinstated threat. Juno barely managed to Flash-step out of the way of it's powerful swipe, the lamp pole that had been behind her now cleaved in two and rather not functioning. She avoided a few more strikes in the same manner before her luck and skills failed her. It had her held fast by the front of her robes and quickly took the opportunity to smash its closed fist down upon her head before throwing the now dazed and bleeding-from-the-head Captain into Galm all of a second before Rikka called out the ok on the limit release. That was good to hear but it now wouldn't do Juno any good until she could sucessfully stand on her feet again.

News of the limit release was taken well by everyone, but Tahoshi was the first to act upon it, revealing the seal on his right arm. He powered himself up, lighting the air around him like a fireball, before yelling
"LIMIT RELEASE!", prompting the flames to erupt like a volcano, flooding the area with pure Reiatsu. He flexed his claws, and stared at the enemy. He knew it was more powerful than he was, but he had to take the chance to strike.
He launched himself from the ground with his wings, flying towards the Hollow while it was still involved in beating Juno into the ground. He launched a couple of fireballs as he flew, forcing the enemy to move away from Juno, before he struck. The two tangled for a good few seconds, both of them landing blows on each other, before once again, Tahoshi was sent flying through the air.
What surprised everyone, including the Hollow, was Tahoshis next move. "Tiamat, Skewer!" he yelled as he flew, the Lava claws on his fists extended beyond their normal range, straight through the leg of the Vasto Lorde, causing him to scream out in pain, pinned to the floor. As the serrated claws retracted, it tore flesh from the Hollow's leg. Blood sprayed out onto the road around them.
Tahoshi was also not in the best position, as his short haul flight sent him through the windscreen of a nearby car, his wings and horns setting fire to it. He bathed in the heat for a second, before exiting the burning vehicle just in time for it to explode in a shower of glass and metal shards.
He wiped the blood from his face, and readied himself again, for another strike...

Today was a bad day for gravity. One shinigami had already become a javelin, a second was a bowling ball trying to get a spare, and a third seemed to be imitating a flaming superball; to say nothing of the gillians that had been lobbed earlier. It wasn't a good day for humanity, either; the insurance frenzy alone would drive most people insane ("My car's windshield suddenly shattered, the car caught fire, and then it blew up.").
If it was going to be getting any better, the shinigami needed to get rid of the more-than-slightly-irked hollow in front of them. Putting his hand on his armor where his seal was, Razgriz followed Tahoshi's lead and cried "Limit Release!" His reiatsu soared, his body felt more powerful, and he felt as battle-ready as he did when this all started. Saluting, Razgriz charged and slashed his dripping red sickle at the Vasto Lorde, hoping he could manage to shatter its mask. Of course, the Hollow wasn't willing to die, and blocked the blow with his claws, crossed as if popping his knuckles. Gaining the upper hand, the Hollow proceeded to swipe at the captain's torso; a sickle deflected it slightly, but the shield was more effective. Of course, armor doesn't block kicks to knees, and so Razgriz's leg buckled. The hollow started raining down blows, striving to get through the blade and armor.
As the captain wasn't willing to die, either, he called out "Umm, guys? A little help, please?!"
