these will probably change. a lot.
Physical Description| At 5'11" and 132lbs, Kiyoshi is a tall boy with a lanky body that shows quite obviously that he is underweight. His eyes are a deep jade, and he has shockingly blue hair with white highlights, shaggy, shoulder length. In place of normal human ears, he has white, cat-like ears. His body is also home to many other cat-like features; he has a long tail, forked into two tips at the end, his eyes are slightly slitted, his tongue is rough, and pure white fur covers his hands and most of his forearms, his legs, and feet (which are also slightly cat-like). Although he has claws, he rarely uses them for fighting, and mostly sticks to climbing or other such tasks with them.
In the real world, he wears a black, hooded vest with blue trim over a ribbed blue tanktop with a white strip near the bottom, and black jeans, with blue trim and blue suspenders. There is a slot in the back for his tail. He also wears blue boots with white trim, a blue and white headband with built-in goggles, and a mesh armband on his right bicep. In the Seireitei, he wears standard-issue Shinigami Captain robes, modified to better fit his cat-like body (tail hole, slits on the sides of his pants, etc), but still wears his mesh armband over the right sleeve. Kiyoshi's overall appearance shows he is of Japanese descent, and more than likely would easily fit into the Shibuya area.
Personality| Kiyoshi is a level-headed, aloof boy with a soft heart. Always calm and collected, he always moves at his own pace, and never lets anything shake or rattle him, leading some to believe he’s apathetic. In reality, beneath his rock-steady exterior is a gentle, caring soul who always has other people’s needs ahead of his own. He’ll go out of his way without a second thought to protect, help or assist a friend or even an enemy in need, and greatly dislikes being a burden or a liability to anyone. As such, he often keeps his issues and problems to himself, using them to fuel his aggression in battle. Although sometimes too forgiving or nice, he is a brilliant strategist, and easily thinks of plans even in the most heated predicaments. However, he doesn’t seem to focus very easily, catching friend and foe alike off guard when he suddenly shifts into a serious mood. He primarily uses deceptive motions and high speeds to confuse and win the upper hand on his enemies.
History| When alive, Kiyoshi was born in Osaka, Japan, but moved shortly after his birth to a small suburb outside of Shibuya, where he was raised. His father died in a pandemic outbreak around his second birthday right after his twin sisters were born, and in the post-pandemic phase, his mother worked alone to raise Kiyoshi, Saiai, and Aile.
Kiyoshi hated seeing his mother struggle for his sake, even when he knew it couldn't be helped, and as he grew, he did what he could around the house, learning to cook, clean, and other such tasks at an early age. He nearly always pushed the limits of what he could do, sometimes even to the point of injury or exhaustion, but stayed as strong as he could to help his mother, Saiai and Aile.
In his tweens, he took on the role as father to his sisters and man of the house for his mother, and began working long hours at a pet shelter to help provide for his family. Kiyoshi didn't seem to mind the long periods of time or the sometimes blatant servitude they imposed upon him; in fact, he seemed almost too happy to help out.
He did, however, always long for something more, which led him to do a lot of volunteer and charity work. His very heart became dedicated to other people, and the gratification of helping as many as he could, going to the aid of even those who disliked him to satisfy his need to help others. This consumed him, making him eventually become an insomniac and extremely introverted, in an inverse way. Uncaring about his own wishes and value, the second wave of pandemic outbreak claimed his body, and through the virus, he literally worked himself to death.
His spirit hovered in limbo for a long time, wandering the streets of Shibuya and his home in despair, before a Shinigami approached him and asked him about his life. After Kiyoshi finished telling him, the Shinigami seemed to gain a twinge of amusement on his face, then performed a Soul Burial as normal, except something felt a little... off. When Kiyoshi awoke, he found himself and his cat-like features in an unfamiliar village...
Kiyoshi searched for answers as to his appearance and location, where he learned he had traveled to the Seireitei; as for his appearance, no one was quite certain. He quickly settled into his afterlife, going about his days as he generally had used to: helping people out here and there and running errands for those too preoccupied, incapacitated, or lazy to do it themselves. This continued routinely until one day, Kiyoshi seemed to hear a voice calling out to him. He let the voice lead him to a tree in a lone field, where he rested and eventually fell asleep. The voice turned out to be the Great Leader Hibachi, who wished to test his true resolve against his helpful spirit. He battled and trained for what seemed like days in his dream, and when he awoke, he found his Zanpakutoh, Dodonpachi, lying beneath his arm, which was covered in bee stings. He carried the sword back to the Seireitei with his limp arm stubbornly, proving he was indeed worthy of controlling the bee's vast power...

Zanpakutoh Name| Dodonpachi
Zanpakutoh Description (Sealed)| A short, slightly curved, one-handed Shirasaya; the blade length is about 25.3 inches, the sword overall being 39.3 inches. Sports a dark yellow blade with a black edge, and a black sheath and hilt with "sting" mark decorations in yellow. The kanji for "Dodonpachi" (怒首領蜂, "Angry Leader Bee" or onomatopoeia for gunfire) is carved into the base of the blade, and a chain is attached to the base of the hilt, a small bee keychain on the end. On close inspection, the name "Hibachi" is carved onto it in Kanji. It also has a yellow and black tie near the base of its sheath.
Shikai|| Dodonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou
Shikai Release Phrase| "Seek, destroy, and grant a peaceful death!"
Shikai Description| The white of Kiyoshi's clothing glows a fierce yellow, matching the markings on his blade. The yellow edge of Dodonpachi splits off into many, many small bee-like "flakes" of his spiritual energy. On the black blade, the kanji for "Dai-Ou-Jou" (大往生, "peaceful death") appears beneath the kanji for Dodonpachi.
The swarm shares the characteristics of an everyday swarm of bees, with one exception-- bullet-like speed. The swarm's size is up to 200 at a time, and they are directly manipulated by Kiyoshi.
Shikai Bees will/can:
-wait approximately 6 to 8 seconds of close proximity before determining a target as a threat, barring a direct attack on Kiyoshi or a direct command to harm/not harm (This is mostly as a fear factor; no one likes bees, and no one likes when a swarm of them appears ready to sting your head right off your shoulders),
-chase a fleeing target for about 300 feet before giving up the chase, if they do not get too far away to be maintained under Kiyoshi's spiritual pressure or Kiyoshi himself is not chasing the target.
Shikai Bees cannot/will not:
-sting a target more than once (Upon the stinger's removal, the bee will convert itself back to [weakened] spirit energy),
-wait above water for a target, instead swarming back to idle around/about Kiyoshi,
-attack unprovoked, unless target gets and maintains too close a distance to Kiyoshi without surrender, invoking the 8-Second rule (in regards to Kiyoshi's orders), or
-swarm, cluster, or attack in any given formation or location unless directly ordered by Kiyoshi.
They also function as scouts; Kiyoshi can send them out anywhere within and, dependent on the spiritual energy of the location, outside of his spiritual pressure's area to seek and learn the area.
Bankai|| Hibachi no Daifukkatsu - Dodonpachi
Bankai Release Phrase| "Zero tolerance-- come, and crush the grand resurrection!!"
Bankai Description| Kiyoshi's goggles turn a dark, ominous red, obscuring his pupils and making his eyes appear blank. His outfit changes to a black jumpsuit fitted to his body, yellow trim along the ends of the sleeves, collar, waist and knees. On the back, Kiyoshi's symbol glows in bright yellow.
The sword elongates (blade length 28.5", overall length 43.5"), and the kanji for "Daifukkatsu" (大復活, "grand resurrection") appears beneath that for Dodonpachi (replacing the kanji for DaiOuJou if Kiyoshi activates Bankai from the Shikai state). The blade glows with bright yellow markings, lining the entire length of the blade. The keychain on the hilt disappears, leaving only a broken chain.
The bees summoned forth in Bankai form share characteristics of the Africanized bee, or "killer" bee. The speed of the bees is doubled, and the swarm size increases to up to 501 at a time.
Bankai Bees will/can:
-sting a target more than once,
-wait no more than one second of close proximity before determining a target as a threat, barring a direct attack on Kiyoshi or a direct command from him,
-chase a fleeing target as far as they can within Kiyoshi's spiritual pressure, up to a quarter mile, before giving up the chase,
-wait or idle above a water source for the target to come up for air before attacking,
-attack at vital points and orfices (nostrils, mouth, eyes, neck and veins, wounds, etc.) first, in groups.
In addition to the 500-bee swarm, Kiyoshi summons forth the queen, known as "Great Leader Hibachi." She is best described as an extremely huge bee that Kiyoshi rides upon during Bankai. Kiyoshi can use the queen to direct the swarm's attention in a given direction, and give an immediate order to attack, defend, or a myriad of other commands via Hibachi's pheromones; Hibachi herself also sports a massive stinger that can pierce even steel. She is also extremely mobile for a queen bee of her size, easily exceeding the swarm's speed, allowing for quick and spontaneous movement. Her exoskeleton can withstand most physical attacks and some spiritual ones, being more susceptible to the latter. The swarm will immediately and relentlessly attack or move into formation to defend Hibachi should she be injured.
