Sorry to jump back to a previous topic, but another good example of lots vs few is in the Discworld.
Cohen the barbarian, a venerable man, with a lifetimes experience of "not dying." gets 6 friends, also venerable elders, and makes "the silver horde".
They fight an army. 7 old men vs an army of about 7000.
"We'll be at an advantage cos they'll be fighting uphill!" (read: they'll have to climb the pile of corpses)

I don't know if you've seen Resident Evil but in all three the situation is a few vs a lot. In fact the third one the heros fight the world!
